They are tryn to identity theift people saying they are the government and to send them money to recieve a grant from them

I got this same call as well at first for about 3 weeks straight I was getting phone calls from 920-002 when I would answer it would take me to someone who had a thick accident telling me that I would receive $7000 dollars from the government and that I had to do was call 202-558-0345 to get the money. First off I instantly new that there was no way for it being true. If it sounds way to good to be true it always is. I was given the code DK144 and then was asked to western union $250 dollars. Seriously people you want me to western union you money. Second of all please don't fall for anyone to western union you money its always a scam. I lost it on the phone told the dumb ass to get a real job that doesn't involve stealing money from real hard workers.

they called said i just received 7000.00in grant money and they were with the government.They tryed to get me to send 260.

I have been getting this phone call from this crazy number 970002 for weeks and i dont answer crazy numbers but i finely answered it and they told me that i have been picked to receive $7000 in  grant money and its not a loan it is my money they asked me if i had a bank account i do but i told them no so they told me they will western union me the money so i said ok then he went on to say that i needed to sent him 250.00 dollars for the bank fees to seen the money so i told him to take it out the 7000.00 he told me oh no we cant do that cause that is your money and we cant take the fees out of that so i told him if its my money then im telling you to take it out the 7000.00 dollars cause im not sending u anything and he seem to get mad so i know it is a scam and i hope no one sends them anything cause nothing is for free and if it was true they can take the fees out of then grant money so please dont fall for the lies cause if there was free grant one it would be on the news and everyone would know but them calling you telling u that u where picked thas some BULL [***] SO DONT FALL FOR IT STAY UP AND KEEP YOUR HEAD UP CAUSE ALL MONEY ANIT GOOD MONEY AND THIS WHY PEOPLE SAY THAT CAUSE OF CALLERS LIKE THEM

Do not, I repeat do not give these pieces of [***] ANY money. Do not call them. They are scammers.  Same number called me and some lady with an Indian accent went through the same bs speech. She cursed when I thought I hung up. Then" Harry" from the "Grants dept" asked me why i needed their website address. I started messing with him at this point after certain questions got him paranoid and he kept ganging up on me. When I called him back he said I kept hanging up on him. Lie. Why don't you have a website when you are working for the government grant dept? I then asked him what were the steps to recieve my money and lol he says "you are just going to hang up when I tell u there is a one time payment.lol are you freaking kidding me? What government agency talks like that? It gets funnier. I then asked if he would allow me to record this conversation and he says " wait, I will record this conversation too." He then proceeded to start tapping on the phone line beep beep beep. The same person "harry" pics up every time and een answers the phone "ts dept, washington d.c." Are you kidding me? Its comical how bad these idiot scammers are!

I got the call too, the Indian lady, $7000 grand, $260 to pay.

Received a call from them (Federal Grant Dept - spoke with Cynthia) claiming I qualified for a $7,000 grant and issued me a grant ID number, which I had to take to a Western Union office, obtain a yellow form and call the number back.

Being VERY sceptical, I contacted the nearest Western Union office to inquire if the were familiar with any "Grant Scams" and they informed me that there were several scams using Western Union.

yep they called me too said they were at the treasury department for the government..they changed their words up a little and said i could receive 8000 dollars but i had to wester union 170 dollars to a charity of their pick.lol why cant i pick the charity...so i called my bbb and they said they think its a scam.so i called them back and the foreign lady got up set.i was laughing so hard

i also receiving the calls !!!

I just got a call from this number and they told me that I got a 8000 dollar grant because I had a clean record. She then gave me a grant approval number and a code number and told me to call 2025580345 when I called this number the lady informs me the money will be coming western union and I will have to go there and have 210.00 and my id so that I can get my  money i will have to call her back and she will tell me how to fill out the forms. Once the deposit is recieved I will then get a western union tracking number for the amount of 8210.00
I will not be going to see if this is real. just don't have a good feeling about it.

I got a call they said that I won an 8,000 dollar grant. Said they was from a federal grants dept. Gave me a security code and an approval code and told me that I could do western union that I needed to call 202-558-0345 so I did, I talked to a women named Rachel wilson at ext 177 she said for me to go to a western union and send a 160 dollar deposit to them that I would recieve 8,150 in the grant. So I felt uneasy about it and called The Attorney Generals office and talked to them about and also done a search online for that number well the number brought up unlisted name , it was a cell phone and they was from washington dc . When I talked to the attorney generals office they told me that it was a scam that there was a couple of red flags.1 was that they did not give me a legitimate address, to they called from a cell phone and the companys name was unlisted.  that next time some one calls like that to tell them you want them to send you something in writting before you go to any type western unions or any kind of information.  that your not doing business over the phone. I sure hope this helps everyone.

I got the call too...the guy Justin Williams with and Indian accent called Obama a n*****....hmmmm lol gov. grant Lmao

Unfortunately I was taken by these people, I sent them the money required. I'm upset and at a loss.
