I called and an automated answering service ask for my 16 digit account number.

got the same thing call metro and the said that its a scam and/prank. the best thing to do is to continually call metropcs so they can be aware of the situation because they are unaware by this

Got the same text message from 3056492@mymetropcs.com saying "Account Suspension" and to call.  Tried calling and they do not identify who they are, just ask for your 16 digit card number and no option to speak to someone in person.  Scam all the way.  Don't fall for it!

Text message from Metro PCS with the telephone number 202-558-2143.  When I called the number I got an automated voice asking for my credit card number.  Please, help to stop this scam.

I just got the same text saying it was from Metro PCS- a reverse phone  number look up shows it's a land line form Washington,It is a tital scam

That is the entirety of it, and being a little suspicious I researched the number first. Found this page as a result. Thank you all for your warnings, I shall not be responding to it. From what I see, seems to be an automated text that supplies your phone's carrier, if that wasn't obvious to any newcomers here.

From what I see, this company is bad news. I didn't bother calling after reading everyone else's comments.

Got this text just now. Says "Tansportation [sic] Alliance Issue. Call 12025582143 for details." If it were a legitimate company, I'd hope they would know how to spell correctly. Filing this under "scam".

Both my wife and I received a text message at the same time from 305649@sms.mycricket.com that read "Account Tansportation Alliance Issue. Call 12025582143 For Details". Called the number and a recording asked for your sixteen credit card number to reactivate the card.  I did not feel comfortable about giving my credit card number.  I called my cellular phone provider (Cricket) and found that they did not send the message. I then checked the Internet and found this sight.  Obviously this is a scam to illegally obtain credit/debit card numbers. Do not give any information to a company who asks for your credit/debit card numbers.

This number 12025582143 came through with a text message from 305649@sms.mycricket.com telling me that I hadAccount Transportation Alliance Issues, Not knowing what it meant I called cricket and they had no idea what this even meant and assured me it did not come from their company.

Sat July 9  2011.  same "Account Tansportation Alliance Issue. Call 12025582413 for Details" text message from 305649@sms.mycricket.  WTF? Account tansportation alliance issue? Are they serious?
Somebody needs to shut these lamoids down.

Also received a text msg on my cell.  What a scam.  BEWARE.

Simply another loser or group of losers who are too  lazy to go get a real job...or at least try considering the job market. just delete this  text and go on with life. Spam is a way of life in the electronic world. They told me I had MasterCard account issues and I don't even have a credit card! LMAO Idiots.
