Never answers when machine picks up. At least one call a day.  Now being blocked.

Have received calls from "ALA" from 202-558-3142 but also from the following numbers:
202-770-2262
202-770-2406
202-770-2489
202-650-6149
At least one a day. Why is this necessary? Why don't the phone companies solve the problem. Do they WANT all of us to drop our land lines? Why would I want a nuisance in the house?

They call every day at odd hours.....we never answer...

They have called nearly everyday since 04-2-15.  They call from different numbers but do not leave a message.
We are on the no call list, but seem to get these calls.  Please have them stopped.

I finally answered this annoying caller. (Caller ID says "ALA".)  Guy claimed he was a rep from the American Lung Association thanking me for my past support and would we.... (We have never contributed or "supported" this "organization".) I asked that he remove our name and number immediately and not call again. He kept talking and said he needed further private information from me before he would do this. No way! I repeated my request over and over with the added comment that if we were called again I would report the number and the organization to Complaints on the DNC site. He finally hung up. We have not had any calls from the "ALA" for 2 weeks.
BTW, there was no listing of this number on the official Lung Assoc website. Do NOT give any information to this scam!

It may seem possible this could be a scam using the American Lung Association on the Caller ID. I would think if this is true the real American Lung should investigate this and Jail this scam because it is really hurting them, I have had calls from this 202 area code for years now and simply do not answer unknown callers. BUT this should not be allowed.

got call from this number. no message left. Since already so many reports previously. I am sure will block this number.

I get the same numbers as you. They are from Washington DC. There is a Capital chapter of ALA there.
The FCC should include telephone harassment to the list of criminal aftivities so that our utilities can deny access for these low-life's.
