Received call from 202-558-5660. I did not answer. They left message on recorder claiming they are IRS and it's a final notice before legal action will be taken. The message instructed me to return the call. I do not plan to return the call. I will wait for IRS or my CPA to write me if I  anything wrong on my tax return.

Received a call from 202-558-5660.I didn't answer and they left a recorded message stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. Stated that I was to call the same number back immediately. Not calling anyone back. Too many scams!

I was called today. Some idiot claiming to be from the IRS. Do people really fall for this ?

It is a fraudulent call and sadly people do fall for this type of con. This is one great thing that the internet provides, communication and collaboration on this type of thing you only have to type in the number and if other posted it will come up. I am in California so it looks like they are calling most states.

Same as what others noted about caller. FYI-The IRS never calls, they will send letters if there is an issue that they need to resolve with you.

First call I didn't answer and an auto-voice left a message.  2 hours later they call again and this time I answered.  Auto-voice said they are from Internal Revenue "Services" and this is last call before filing a lawsuit and to call them right away.  For grins I called back.  A woman with heavy foreign accent answered (lots of background noise).  When I asked what kind of company this was, she hung up.  SCAM!!

Got two calls from this number saying that they from the IRS.  The accent sounded East Indian which makes me think this is set up abroad.

That 202-558-5660 number is absolutely not the IRS! It's a total scam! They called me 2 times and the automated voice said the same BS. The bad news for them is that I have a certain type of phone software on my computer. So I set up my computer to call that number back continually nonstop immediately over and over so everyime i called them they would pick up and answer my software immediately hangup and calls them right back within 1.5 seconds. So I just programed my comp to call them for the past hour nonstop and hang up call them right back and so my comp shows that it called them 128 times in a row nonstop for the past hour. It sucks to be them!! #RingRingRingHelloHello?

SCAM: Phoned the number (202-558-5660) told them I had the money to pay the claim as I didn't want any problems with the IRS, but that I was on patrol right now. So I needed to settle it quick. They immediately hung up!! Surprise! Surprise!    (neighborhood patrol that is )  :) )

Today I have received 3 calls from this number claiming to be the IRS and I was to call them back immediately or face legal action. I am a senior citizen and do not appreciate these calls. I have no issues with the IRS. I want my number removed from their list.

Repeatedly called the number back too. Don't have any program, just manually did it for 100 times or so. Appeared to irritate them. Too bad. If they call me again, I'll do it again. Thanks for the tip.

I've gotten calls very occasionally from 202-558-5660. It's the same story each time: A recorded message claiming that "the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you." They ask to call back at the above number to obtain details about the case file. In the past, I just dismissed these calls. However, I am reporting this now because today, July 21, 2016, they called a whopping three times and left the same recorded message, twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. I think their trolling system went nuts!

They called three times today. I hit redial on the number and it is clear they are a "boiler room" type scam operation.  I called them back 10 times and got different "agents" so I kept saying I was talking to Agent Jack Asss and got cut off so could they please let him know I called back.

Got two call within 2 hours, second one left vme (US native speaker) that IRS needs me to call back asap.  Called the number and heavily accented indian voice answered.  Asked question who they are and was told that they are IRS investigation team, told him to mailed me and hung up.

SCAM! They called claiming to be the IRS and a guy with heavy Indian accent claimed to be agent Rogers saying that a lawsuit against me was taking course. Soon after talking to him, I noticed something fishy. Luckily, I Googled the number and found all this information.
