I got a call from a lady name Cristy talking bout that i qualified for a $7000 government grant money then transfered me to another line talkin bout i need to pay $100 in order for them to wire the $7000 to my account. what a scam

Said I qualified for a $9000 grant

Yes, I got that scam call today too about a $9,000 government grant for which I needed to call that number to provide the "authorization code" given to me by the first caller who used a restricted number.  This is obviously fraudulent.

Got a call that showed up at +56 7848 on my cell.  The guy said I had qualified for the $9000 grant from the Federal Transportation Department and the guy claimed to work for the FTB.  He could barely speak English.  Said I needed to call 202-559-7626 to talk with the manager who would tell me how to get my money.  The caller already gave me a confirmation number and said I could go to Western Union to pick it up.  Why would I need to call back???  Definitely a scam.

Oh, yeah, they said it was a reward for people who consistently paid their taxes and owed no back taxes.  Hell, knew it was a scam then.  I owe quite a bit of taxes for a company I owned and that I had to close because we couldn't get paid by the Federal Government for Medicare claims we filed!!!

Got a call from am unknown number. Marcelle calling from verifications department. Said I qualified for $9000. Had all my contact info. Wanted to know about getting the money to me through my banking account, debit card or western union cash transfer. Choose western union. Didn't give any addition info to her. She gave me a confirmation number and told me to call 202-559-7626 to get details to pick up the money from western union. Called the number and there was no answer. No voicemail. Glad I didn't give out any info.

These people have very hard accents, very difficult to communicate with. $9000.00 grant from the US Federal Reserve but I must put up $250.00 first to get paid a grant for being a good citizen, sounds so stupid.
