who called me from this number.

some 1 called me that i have benn granted 6000 dollars n its a scam

Dont believe this it's a scam i was told they were going to send me 5,300$ threw western union AFTER i PAY THEM 200.00$ Ummm No they sound good and honest but really a Gov. Grant over the phone and you got to pay a process fee??? the address they gave me was 200 Independence Ave. SW triple H Building in Washington D.C 20201 and the Man who called was "Charlie.Harris" even gave me a "Badge" number 80407

Taxation grant in the amount of about  4000.00 to be paid upon refundable security payment of 199.00  to western union.  When I get to western union, I'm supposed to call them back with the receipt number an wait for my taxation grant.  Not.

I was called from a man named Mac Austin badge number 77071 at 10:59 this morning 1/28/2011 telling me that the irs is giving me $6000 for paying my bills and taxes on time but i have to pay a refundable deposit of $199 and said i wouldn't have to pay any of it back through my lifetime... Huge scam because first of all the government never asks for money upfront they just make you pay what you borrowed with interest no deposit qeruired.

Some one named "James Paul" called me from 661-380-3000 and told me i would get $6000 government grant money i just had to give them $199 to make sure i was who i said i was and they would give it back and the $6000. The building address he gave me is 200 Independence Ave. SW  HHH Building, Washington D.C.,  20201 but i looked up the number and it is somewhere in California. He also gave me a call back number (202-580-8490) but it happens to be in Washington D.C. and a website which is www.governmentgrant.org Giant scam and i hate people like this!

I just got a call from 661-380-3000, but my ringer was off, so I didn't answer. But, when i tried to call back a 'message-bot' responded, "This number is unallocated..." LOL!!! Thanks for the heads-up, I'll tell the guy to get lost if I get another call.

Wow...so I got a call from 000-012-3456, a guy named Paul (sounded Indian). Paul passed me to Charley Harris, his "Senior Supervisor", who was also a foreigner (sounded Chinese). They both told me that if I deposited $199 into Western Union that I would get back $6199 ($6,000 + my $199). So here's the funny part...I looked the number up that they gave me. Turns out to be a cell phone in D.C. Then I looked up this website where I saw everyone else's comments. So I decided to call him back (Charley) and call him out on it. He confirmed that it was a cell phone but stated that I shouldn't worry about that. Then he told me the Western Union process. First, I fill out the form and deposit the money into an account, after which I give him the 10-digit access code. He uses the code to verify who I am, then, within 20 minutes, he gives me another 10-digit access code which I use to access my $6199. Here's the catch...the 10-digit code that I give him gives him access to my $199 from any Western Union, so he can pull it out, wait the twenty minutes for the cash to clear and for him to clear out, then he laughs at me and I never see the $6000 or my $199 again. Great scam guys...I really feel bad for anyone that falls for this one.

P.S. ~ The address that they gave (200 Independence Avenue, Southwest HHH Building, Washington D.C. 20201) really is an address, but not for the Federal Government Grant Department...for the Health and Human Resources Department and about ten others. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I got the same call from 000.123.456! The guy's name was James Paul. I got the same talk as you did. He also told me not to "look it up" Obviously, I did, and (hahaha) it is a scam. Oh well, I am saddened for those who lost their money on such scams. I cannot wait until I get the call from the "supervisor"!

Echo the comments! Persistent calls from US Government Grants. Go to western union and send two hundred dollars to myself from myself in order call tem back with the MTCN to recive my 6000 governement taxation grant. But wait....... I cannot do the trancation by calling Western Union or from t my PC  on the WU website ..I have to go to  a local western union and before I start the transaction  call Paul at 202-657-5036 so he can record the call and talk me thru the process.
I called WU and they verified that it is a fraud.

They are using a new number 206-317-1622. I just received this call today from 693-238-2311 with a approval # and a person's name about the $6000 grant from the government. Then they wanted me to send a $200 deposit that "she" said would go to a foreign charity but would be given back within 3 minutes of giving it at the Western Union. She was like I am going to say on the phone thru the whole time so that we can send yo back your money but then she said it was for verification purposes. YES THIS IS A SCAM.

I just got a call from 202-559-7686 and his name was Mark Wilson he told me I qualified for $7,800 and wanted all my bank info or to go to a western union. Although had my wrong birthdate is this a scam???

I had received a call from a Jason White stated the i would  receive a goverment grant for 7800 and i sent 1200 so i just to warn all the people out there that this is fruad the number they called my from is 2025594670 Please look out and dont trust these people over the phone they this out to get u just like they got me Beware Please God bless and be safe and smart..

I also got a call from 000-012-3456. some paul james verified some of my info and then had his so called senior sup 'Mac Austin; 'called me and gave me the number 202-580-8490. He asked me to go to near Western Union and deposit $199 and wait him on the phone for 30 minutes and he will return the money right away $6000 + $199. Then i search the number and i found it's fraud. I've already registered a complaint about this call to police, hopefully they will be caught, next time they call me, my call will be tapped and i guess they r calling from outside USA.... finger crossed, hope i will be able to save others... BE CAREFUL EVERYBODY...

I'm responding to your so called 6000 Scam. No way if the government is giving away money why would you need to give 200 for security purposes. I don't believe it.

I would like to thank you for reporting this type of fraud to the police because I was called as well from a lady named Anna McCoy and she stated that I was randomly picked from the federal government that I would need to go to the nearest Western Union and pay $200 and that I would receive $7,800 plus the 200 back in total of 8,000. She gave me that same address the 200 Independence Ave triple H building Washington DC 20201 and her call back number 202-684-6567. I told my husband and he automatically told me it's a scam.
