Another recorded message stating that a omplaint has been filed against me for tax evasion and I need to CALL them back.  This is a total scam!  Do not call these people back.  The IRS has even acknowledged this as a scam, stating that they would NEVER contact anyone by phone, they only contact people via mail.  Also, when the message begins, they never state a name as to who they are filing  a complaint against.  They are just waiting for someone to call them back and give them their personal info or to send the money to take care of the "complaint".

Total scam. Received a voicemail from an "IRS Officer Don Hayden" who sounds like he's from India. Called back and they asked for my name and I said they can look it up by my number because they called me. He continued to tell me that a warrant would be placed out for my arrest due to tax evasion. I pay my [***] taxes. Don't give these guys your information.

got the same call as others above reported. I reported this number to my state attorney general's office.

Got a voice mail from "Officer Don Hayden from the IRS" saying I was under investigation for tax evasion, same message as other people have gotten. He never said who he was calling for. So glad you can google phone numbers and confirm these calls are scams!
