I got a call today from them. The guy started cursing me out when I started asking questions. When I requested to talk to his supervisor he hung up. This is very scary, they already have your name and address. I'm glad I did not provide them with anything else. Is there a way for these type of calls to be stopped?

Received a call from a woman (with foreign accent) saying I qualify for a $7000 grant.  I had her give me the address of the department = 200 Independence Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20201.  She wanted to know how long I've lived in the area after telling me I had been researched and qualify for the grant.  So why can't she tell me how long I've lived at my current address?  Big scam!

A man with a South Asian accent asked for me by name.  In response to my usual hostile query, "What are you selling?" he replied he was calling to inform me that a government agency had cleared me for a $7000 grant, no strings attached.  I told him never to call me again, lose my number.  Fat chance that will happen.

Got a call from this number. Could barely understand the woman. She asked for my son and told me she was calling from the treasury department. What a lie!!! Its a Sprint cell number. I hung up. This should be stopped. They are telling people they are the U. S. Treasury Department. BAD PEOPLE. Should be against the law.

a woman called my elderly mother from this number with this same story and provided the same address. They asked her for her bank account or credit card info so that they could send her the $7000. They refused to give their name or phone number and said they couldn't send a check... I'm so glad my mother didn't give any information. This is a big scam!! It's scary though that they knew my mom's address and name.

Why don't the people complaining register on the donotcall site?
If registered and contacted by these "characters", file a complaint!!!
We'll have as much luck asking a manure fly to leave us alone.
They understand, though probably not too well, U.S. law.

I registered less than a month ago at the donotcall site. Until a month passes I can't file a complaint. Trust me, I most definitely would today as these "people" called today.
I let the call go to voice mail which is one of the few tools we have to combat these leeches.
Take the time to register on the donotcall site and help combat these "people".

Um I have registered on the do-not-call list several times to no avail. So you obviously don't get calls like this, lucky you or you're the one making them!

And if you think scam artists are going to abide by the do-not-call rules that's just delusional.

Last night , I received a call from Amy (with a heavy east Indian accent) stating the US Govt. was giving me $7000.00dollars a for being a good citizen. I payed my taxes, did not file bankupcy.. ect.   I know this was a scam however, I played along until she asked me how I want the payment as well as my vitual information.....I told her I would not and did not give out number personal information . Amy argued and I hung up.  No return calls.

I will say upon moving to Florida, I have received more tel-marketing and scam phones daily.
I have leaved in New York and Michigan and this calls were not tolerated by the State Govt.   What's up with Florida?

i got a call from this number saying that i can get a 7000 grant, but their are alot of people saying that it is a scam because they have got the same call.

I just got a call from this # Iwas broke still broke but me stupid me gave them my account number and my bank routing# and I felt like what the BLANK so now I must change my BLANK as soon as the sun rises I was so burnt out from studying I was like a virgin in a male bootcamp just gave it up man. Please hang up  THATS ONE OF THOSE LYING AS FOREIGNERS.SOBs always coming over making their own damn laws.Icall her back a man answered and I ask to speak to O MCKINNON and he CURSED ME OUT now I really know it,s a scam. WHO THE HELL DO THAT. I know you reading this you so damn smart you GOING TO HELL.

Recieved called from this number claiming to be from the US Department of Treasure and claimed that he was on his way to get me. I told him to please show up since I am in the FBI building I wanted him to come on down. THIS IS A SCAM...Do not give out your information over the phone.

Man with very heavy mideastern accent who claimed his name was Brad asked to speak with my husband. He claimed that he was from the U.S. Treasury Department. I told him that that was very doubtful and that I knew it was a scam. He immediately hung up.

I forgot to add to my earlier post that my caller I.D. gave the person's name as S. Preciado. Definitely NOT from the U.S. Treasury Dept. If you are called by this number, don't bother answering the phone.

Got call from this number several times today...told him to stop calling, he said he was not gonna stop,  he knew all my info, kept asking if i had kids and how old I was. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was supervisor. When I asked why he was calling he said he would tell me when I told him how old I was.When I told him I was going to call cops he said he would wait on hold while I called them, so I hung up on him he called back about 5 times and i did not answer, so he finally stopped calling...for today

Get multiple calls daily.  When I ask for their name & number they hang up.

I have been getting calls from 202-607- 2068 he has a heavy accent and doesn't speak clearly.  He called me over and over again, calling me more than a dozen times in a row.  He's calling again and will not stop. I told him I was calling the police and he said "I like that I like that you talk to me, you talk to me and I will keep calling you I don't care"... The police can't do anything about it- my god I thought the America was the land of the free???  How is it that  these "NON Americans" can harass us and we can't stop them....

This guy and number keeps calling me too.  You can't call the number back and even the police can't stop him from calling.  I feel so violated and concerned that my personal information has been exposed.
