Is this true

They informed me I will receive grant money, but I need to go to western union and send them $200. They told me not to let western union know or anyone else about the grant money. So I informed them it sound like a scam and he gave me the web site to go and check (www.grants.com). His name was Alex Cruz and I'd #src5891 & phone # 202-621-0241.

I got a call from 202-621-0241. The guys name was Kavin Morris He even gave me badge # sm70024. Told me that 1500 selected people that filed taxes were getting $7000. He went on to give the adress 200 independance ave HHH building Washington D.C. 20201. which is the human services builing among others, but not I.R.S. It all sounded on the up & up untill he told me I had to go to western union & give them $200" completely refundable deposit"  I would think that if the I.R.S. really wanted to give me $7000 they could mail me a check. It sound like a scam & I am going to report it to the authorities.

Total scam I can not believe any one would Westrn Union money to some that they do not know.

Wait.......this is a scam?!?! Damn should I call them back and ask for a manager?

I also got a call from 202-621-0241. The guys name was Nalson Hurley. He even gave me Ref #OBS37CO. Told me that 1500 selected people that filed taxes were getting $7800. He said i should deposit $ 200 to Western Union and they 'll return me $8000.Reason was selecting me that i'm chosen from a survey conducted by Federal Government,as there is no bankruptcy and  criminal back ground found against me since past 6 month,so Federal Govt. is awarding me this amount,so that i would never indulge in any crimes.Sounds good!Now the Federal Govt. also took control of God's matters.Is it irony that Federal Govt. facing debt crisis and same time it's busy in such foolish activities?And there address is

I was contacted and asked to go to Western Union with 200.00 as a deposit for a 7800.00 free grant offered to me though the federal Government, I was told I would need to send the 200.00 by money in minutes for proper verification, and i would get 7800.00 plus my 200.00 back with in minutes after they verified my payment.  
This is a scam!!!!! A lie money in minutes is considered gone once you send it, there is no refunds for sending money to unverifiable receivers, I want you to be wise and seek the truth in this world of evil betrayers who even use God's name to trick the honest people too. The call Back number is 202-621-0241 THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!

I got the same call from Gloria just today with tha same info. i know it was a scam because last week some one called me saying the same thing but they gave me a # to call and ask for a Michelle Smith I called to see what type of scam was going on and I was told to call her back and evertyime I did i would get told she was on another call or even gone on break. i told them that I know that this was a bunch of BS.

I receeivecd a called from Mike he gave me all the same informtion as everyone above badge # and all. I was tokld to go toWestern Union and pay 210.. which was a security deposit to mkae sure the money would be going to the correct person and i would receive my 200 back plus teh 8000 grant money. I called the BBB have filed a report with them regarding this. I work for the government and i know if the government was trying to give me money i would not have to pay anythn. I also asked them to send the information to me by mail so i can read up on it and they lady in which said her name was ANgel Jones continued to speak as if she didnt even hear my  request to mail me any info. SO BE WARE ITS A SCAM AND THEY ARE GOING TO GET YOU TO WESTERN UNIION THEM 200$ AND YOU ARE LEFT WITH NOTHIN.

I recieved the same call from a gentleman named Sam Jenner ID 4387 with file number 0976 in regard to the same lie. I was also given the same number 202-621-024, these people are full of it. Why would the Fedreal Gov want to give me money and I have to pay for it. This is crazy and so are the people who have a part in this SCAM. Please don't fall for this BS. Someone really need to contact the Federal Gov so they can put a stop to this maddness.

Them people are crazy they call me saying I have a grant for 7800 and all to do a proceed at the western union.and they will keep asking for more money before they give it to you this a scam don't do it Vertu bad people I think the government should investigate on that.....

Total scumbags total scam!!!!!!!!!!!! My unemployed desperate boyfriend lost $2400.00 before he woke up and understood how horrible these people are!! Do not talk to them! Report to your local police! We did - may never see the $2400 but hope this helps stop them!!!

so i just got a call from a lady named gloria kelly and she told me that  i was pick to receive 7,500 in grant money from the gov, now i am not a stupied person it sounded way to good to be true so i look up this number.202-621-0241 and it was just as i thought...A SCAM somebody really need to report these people cause somebody might fall for this scam and that would be a shame

Said he was going to give me $7100.00 from free grant money. I was indeed, suppose to take $200.00 to the nearest Western Union and he asked for my cell number. I could barley understand what he was saying. I finally hung up. I am on the National DO NOT CALL registry and I get these calls non stop. It is simply a SCAM.

I received an unknown call on my cell phone from a woman with a thick accent claiming to be "Cheryl Morgan".  She told me that I was chosen by the U.S.Government to receive a grant for $7800 that I could use for anything except gambling or anything illegal.  She told me to get $200, and to go to the nearest Western Union when I should call back 202-621-0241 BEFORE I walk inside.  I was told NOT to tell anyone at Western Union that the money was from the U.S. Government.  She asked me how long it would take me to get to Western Union with the $200 cash.....I told her it was down the street. Then I asked her if the money is free why do I need to send $200.00. I told her I would Send her $1.00. plz hold i will let you speak to my manger. I told him I worked for the government then he hung up the phone.
