Called asking for me. Had my correct first name but not my last. Have had similar calls from random states with the voice of a woman. The women have all sounded similar.

Got a call from a gentleman and he asked for me.  Three times, then said we had a bad connection and he was going to call me back.  Never called back, and the number rings busy when I call back, so he succeeded in attaching my name to my number.  My guess is telemarketing, but not sure.

Answered and it had that "Telemarketer Pause" before someone started speaking.  It was a woman asking if I was "Ray with Royal Electric Limited".  I answered "no ma'am" since I did not work for that company.  

She never said my last name and she called my cell number.

She apologized and hung up.

The caller was acting as the middleman to someone else.  Wouldn't give me a reason for the call but requested person's voicemail.  Denied.  They said they'd call back at a later time.  SALES.

Received call with woman's voice asking for previous incumbent in my job; told her he was no longer here and asked her if I could help her with something; she said no, not right now and that she'd call back.

Unknown. Did not leave message.

Someone just called my cell phone from this number, left no message. When I called it back, twice, got a strange high-pitched beep then it hung up on me. No clue.

Periodically I start getting calls on my direct line from people who ask for someone at our parent company that have never worked for our department.  When I receive them, if I have time to write down the number they are calling from, I input this information on the Internet with a complaint and the calls stop for awhile.  Then they start up again.  Most of the people they ask for no longer work at our parent company and the people on the other end usually have an Indian accent, which means they are calling from offshore, even though they have a US phone number.  It happened again today.  I just told him that they are calling my direct line and not the company and to stop calling and now I hang up before they can say anything else.  I no longer bother to ask where they are calling from or what they want.  Dealing with these people is a HUGE waste of my time~  

The person said he was calling from a company called Clearview.  He wanted to have a conference call to present some solutions to IT and financial reporting needs.  I just said I was not interested.

Just calls but never leaves messages.

Never answer these because no caller ID.  I'm sure it's just spam telemarketers related to IT field

These jokers call my desk phone at work, looking for a Deborah Xyz . I never heard of Deborah Xyz. I cannot convince them that I am not Deborah Xyz. I would think my voice is sufficiently masculine to convince them. They call about every two weeks. I hate these not very bright guys.

Just received call from this number, I never pick up unless I know who is calling, they did not leave a message. I very much appreciate this type of forum where I can do a quick search and see it's a marketing (or whatever) type of call and know not to answer in the future. Thanks!

I just receive the call from this number. Didn't leave a voicemail. Given the information from this thread, I guess it is not an important call.

These are probably the "work from home and make $1,000 a week" people who get random phone numbers and make calls. I got the call yesterday and didn't answer and they didn't leave a voice message.

Received a call from this number. After saying hello they just sat on the line breathing heavy and then hung up. Very creepy. I tried calling it but got a busy signal.

The company is connect and sell that does lead generation for companies. Tell them you are reporting them to ftc for contacting you on your mobile and you are on dnc

Just got a call on my direct work line. Didn't pick up, as I don't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message.

Just called me, usual telemarketing delay for some one to speak. Ask for paul, I said yes, the hen asked for paul smith. Not my last name. I said wrong number, he said sorry and hung up. Same things as happened to Javier
