Scam call....said they were calling from Windows and that my computer was sending out error messages. When I asked where they were receiving error messages they said "From Windows".......I knew it was a scam so I played around with them. They asked if I was in front of my computer and at my home page. They said to start up Explorer.....I said that I don't use Explorer ( I have an Apple ) so he said to start up Safari. I said I don't use Windows so he was scamming me and he hung up.

They want to get into your computer and run it from a program that enters your computer from afar so they can control it. Then they either take important info ( bank accts, passwords, etc.) or set up Malware to put on your computer so they can see what you are doing on your computer.

Windows NEVER calls you so beware if someone calls saying they are from Windows......it's a scam.

Sometimes I have said wait a minute while I get to my computer.....and then just let the phone sit on the counter and waste their time so they can't call anyone else right then.

Who is this calling my phone.
This number comes up attached to a friend of mine's number when they call???
