Said since I had a son in college, I had been selected to receive $9500.  Wanted to confirm my address, DOB etc.  Have called twice.on my cell

Caller says I qualified for $9700 with no pay back because all taxes from government were paid.  Insisted I could direct deposit the money or pick it up Western Union.  I live in Ct.  They wanted by birthdate and I told them I want something in the mail and they should have that info.  They said I was giving them a hard time and I hung up

Just got a call from this number, couldn't hardly understand the person, said they were from the US government and because of how I paid my taxes and bills I qualified for 9700 in grant money that I didn't need to pay back. He wanted to confirm all my details but I hung up. Given that I'm in a financial hard time right now it was tempting but I figure if it was legit it would at least be someone calling I could understand. It also wouldn't have come up cell phone.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO. It is a scam. I started getting the calls 2 months ago after i tried to finance a computer online at a well reputable site. At first it was calls from a cell phone, now all the call are tagged as washington dc. And when i call the number back its busy.

his is a scammer. Called saying they want to give me money from health and human services. They call and then just hang up now that I told them to [***].

received three calls on my cell phone today from this number, foreign speaking person, they wanted to give me money--- how in the world do these people get cell phone numbers?  Is Verizon giving them out ?

I keep getting calls saying I qualify for money as well . The government don't just give free money. Lol! I also received a letter n the mail saying all of my personal info has been hacked into from somewhere in china . It is defiantly a scam . Beware people !

I got several calls from this number, in the last call I repeatedly asked who the person was and what company he worked for.  The man on the other end grew upset and threatened to rape me.  His verbiage was very explicit and I will not include it here.  I have filed a police report with Benton County Oregon just so there is something on record if anyone else ever wants to take the time to shut these disrespectful scammers down.

I got multiple calls from this number in the later hours last night. Then today the second time they called, when I answered someone with a barely understandable accent spoke to me. Claiming that I am eligible for a grant. Only info they got was a partial address and that I was 49. How do I make sure they can't get anything with that? I tried calling a number they gave me but no one answered.

This number keeps calling my wife's phone, glad she never answered now that we know what it's about. This has been going on for a couple weeks now.

I have gotten 2 of these calls in two days. One was a $10000 free grant for me paying my bills on time. Today another call but for a $9750 grant. They wanted to deposit into my chechecking account and I told them it would be easier for me just to pickup from a Western Union---They gave me another # to call 2707759134.  This is a scam so I reported it to our local police dept. so some of the older people would not give out the bank account #;s

This number called my cell 4 times within just a couple hours of each other.  I couldn't understand what the person was saying.  

Received several calls on my cell claiming I got a Grant for 9500.00 I refuse to give my information. Called 3 Times

Just got a called stating that I was chosen by the U.S. Government for a grant of $7200 because I had no criminal record and my taxes are current. I asked her for a physical address and she repeated the same scripted message and then she precedes to ask me for my name and address. I then asked her if I was chosen shouldn't you know who I am. I told her not to call me any more and she drop the F Bomb. WoW!!!

This number called me and i didnt answer, after 6 calls in 10 minutes, still not answered... oh well

I got a call from this number 2026572521,but I didn't answer because I don't know the number...

Some One call with the same or very close extensions like the ones above.  They stated that they were represented the United States Government Treasury Office!.   The one that called sounded as if he was from a foreign country because we could not understand him.  But speaking was good enough to tell us that the Treasury Department was giving out 7,200.00 dollars to receipents like ourselves, that had pay taxes and that the Grant monies from the Treasury Department which was also associated with the Human Service department and the land granting department of the United States were the one granting the grant monies.  OK so they ask for your ATM card/Debit card, expiration date, and the CVC number on the back of the card.  Also, they also stated that you need to go to dollar general and take out a wire transfer to pay the registration fee.  The fee was first $150 then it went to $210 and then the final for registration is $240.  After they receive it you get the $7,200 dollars put into your checking account.

Oh, the first caller is ????? Berry, and then his supervisor in a different department (whom you can hear speaking in the background) is called James Reed (Both sound and don't speak English very well and I have a spanish background so I know the difference)
