is this the us grant office in wa. dc

I have no idea. I played along so that they could take me off the calling list. They said they were from the federal grant department. I was elegible for a $7000 grant but I have to send them $290 as a security deposit then they would give me $7290 back. I politely declined and asked several times to be Removed from the calling list. I was called obscene names and was asked to perform oral sex. Then they hung up.

Just talked with an "Indian" man calling from this number.  He told me as a result of being a good citizen that the federal government was giving me $7000.  All I had to do was call 202-657-6562 and give them a special code which he gave me, and they would send me $7000.  Wow.  If it were only that easy...can anyone seriously believe such a scam?

It's a scam. If it were true the us government would just take it out of the $9,200.

This is a huge scam. When I called 202-657-6562 and asked them if this was a scam they threatened me. These people need to be hunted down and shut down.
