Got called three times from this number. They didn't leave a message. I finally picked up and a woman said I was randomly selected by the government to receive $3000. Lots of background noise so it wasn't clear. Accent was from Eastern Asia. I said why? She rambles on and I can barely hear her. I told her I wasn't interested.

Same here. She hung up on me when i told her that's not how grants work

Have had alot of calls from this number they asked for a card to put the grant money on ...so i have answered calls with diff acents to mess with and they hand up wont give their comp or anything else and ask for jeff cantori from weather channel lmao what a joke

Have been receiving calls from this number for days. Today I received 6 calls in less than 3 hours. I don't ever answer because they always call when I am at work. Won't answer now, thanks.

I've been getting these calls for the last 2 weeks about grant money and then today get one and it's an Asian guy talking and he says he wants to f*** my mother in her [***] and kept calling me that I am your dad  go to hell and i'm looking up your number they hung up.so I did like you guys and I looked up the number and this is what comes up.

this number calls me about 3 times a day.sometimesthey talk sometimes they dont im sick of the calls!!!

She told me she was from MOMS part of the Treasury department.  She said I had a grant for food and all she needed was my credit card number.  I asked for her name.  She had to spell Michelle since I couldn't understand her.  She said her last name was Johnson.  I asked for her supervisor since the US Treasury never asks for a credit card number.  She said "Oh, [***]."   Then she hung up.

They called me twice saying that I was awarded with a government grant, when I asked him why I was selected he told me it was because I paid my taxes on time and I dont have any bankruptcy. Then, he started asking my personal information and I told him that he is supposed to know that and he immediately cut the call.

They keep calling, me after I even told them they have the wrong number has called me 3 times today, was an Asian man, last time I didn't answer. I really wish they would stop calling, next I guess I will have this number blocked.

They've called a few times, I only answered once and they knew my name and the guy told me I was his brother

I got called by this number and on my caller ID it said the caller was from Washington DC and it was a man with a middle eastern accent. Had called to tell me that have been awarded $400 by the U.S. Treasury for paying my taxes on time. I knew this was fake because I am 16 years old so I hung up.  The weird thing about this is that when he called he ask for me using my nickname(Niko) and not my my real name(Nicholas).  How did he know my nickname without me telling him.

Got a call from almost the same number 202-331-1111. A middle easterner accent lady said I got a grant for $7000 because I paid my taxes on time and don't have any bankruptcy. How would I like it to be issued, cash or credit card? I said credit card. She wants some personal information to verify that I am who I said I am. I told her, you should know who I am already because you called me. I screamed at her the federal government ain't got no damned money to give away [***] like that and continue to screamed at her for scam con artist scums! and she hung up. Phone traced to this web site posting.

Give them hell, I have called them randomly, and i always tell them that they have won a trip to Prison. I also use different accents.  I don't tolerate scammers.

I keep getting these calls on my cell. If I'm on the call block list why do they keep calling!!!

I recived a call three time. Missed the 1st call. I answered the second call. The caller, a male, asked for my wife. When I said she wasn't there he hung up. About one hour later he called again. I'm medically retired and have nothing better to do.....
I informed him she was lost in a car accident last night. I spent the next ten minutes in a screming match about how he was disrespectful. Then came his threats..... Oh that part was fun! Finally he grasped that I had nothing to lose and finding him wouldn't be to hard. He then apologized and asked if he could call and check on me.  I thought the number was spoofed (it still might be) but he knew he was calling from a 202.666 area code and prefix.

I had a man just call me from this number twice already this morning and they call approx 3-5 times a day. He said I was selected for a government grant. I told him no i wasn't and asked him to stop calling. He then proceeded to argue with me and say he was going to call me every day until I listened to him and what he had to say. I finally told him I was going to report him and hung up on him. This is ridiculous!

I was out this morning and saw that I had a missed call from "District of Columbia" 202-666-1189. A Google search found this site. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. Glad to know I don't have to answer the phone the next time it's from this number from someone wanting to give me a government grant.
