Person calls to say that I qualify for a grant of over $8,000.I tell them that I didn't apply for any grant of anytime.I don't know the name of the company, couldn't understand the person doing the talking.They did say something about Federal Gov.When I said I didn't applied ,they hang up.

Got the exact same phone call from the same number 10 minutes ago. Hung up on them.

I've been getting called 3 times a day by this number and a similar DC number with the 666 prefix. I don't live in that area. They never leave a message and I haven't answered any of their calls yet for that very reason. Legitimate businesses always leave a message.

These people have been calling every week and if you don't answer they call back. They then hang up and if you call it back it will tell you that all circuits are busy.

Just got the same call and, not to sound racist, I couldn't understand anything they were trying to tell me, so I told them no! They wanted credit card info and everything, but I am taking classes regarding this, so I am very weary of stuff like that! You should be too!

Got a call saying that I received $5000 from the federal government.  I told him not to call me again and take my name off their list!  It was difficult to understand him as well.  

They called me saying I was eligible for a $5,000 tax refund because I pay taxes and don't have a criminal record. Then when I asked for the name of whom I was speaking with and the organization he was calling on behalf of, this man with a very thick Indian accent and extremely broken English said his name was Thomas Williams calling from the U.S. Government. I followed that up by asking for a web address after which he referred me to some federal government tax site that does not exist.
All I want to know is how to get removed from their calling list.

Got the same call right now.  They've been calling for days.  They couldn't legitimize any information,  and I spoke to two people both asian, first a female then a male. The background sounds like a legitimate office but it could be a recording or something.  Some one needs to report them asap before they actually get someone like an elderly person or handicap because I can't understand why anyone in they're right mind would fall for that call

I got a call from this number--in Ames, Iowa! We used to live in the Baltimore area a few months ago. I waited on the line for a few minutes. Finally, I hear the chatter of a call room. I hung up.

Just got a call from this number (after blocking 202-666-1880 who had been calling for days). They did not leave any message. I refuse to answer these calls though I am tempted to answer and screw with them giving bad information.

They called me this afternoon told me I am qualified for a 5000 dollar grant from the government (which I know is not true because I make too much money and don't qualify for anything) so I played along wanted my last 4 digits of my social I gave them a fake social security number (1243) and she asked me for my address and I said well if you work for the government you should have this on your record and I don't need to give it to you.  She said that she needs to verify that it was me on the phone. I said you are the one that called me on this land line and you know it is me on the phone. She kind of got mad and said a swear word in her native tongue I said excuse me I don't understand and she said it in English which was f**k you.
