Keep calling my number and not leaving a message.

They call and say they are from a government grant agency.  when queried about their legitimacy, they hang up.  they have called me several times.

I received a call on 3/1/214 at about 10:55 from this number, an Indian speaking man saying "I was awarded grant money ($8400) from the "US government treasury".  After so call qualification and verification of address, etc they needed a checking account number or card number.  Thereafter the money would be deposited in 40-45 min.  I had a call like this about 1 month ago.  When I questioned him and asked for a website he gave me one that did not end in .gov.   When I ask why he could not explain so he referred me to his "supervisor" who kept rambling on and after a few minutes of questioning he just hung up!  This time he didn't refer me to his supervisor but said he would call back tomorrow.

I tried calling the phone number, but I kept getting all circuits busy.

Get calls from this number multiple times a day and they NEVER say anything!!!  Very annoying!!

I got the same call yesterday and when I asked questions he referred me to supervisor then hung up.  He's definitely a scammer.

After receiving this call I went along with everything had them do what they needed to do it was an Indian lady stating it was a Government Grant that wasn't needing to be paid back and all they needed was a bank card or information to load the money onto.  I gave them a working card that is issued from my Bank Of America but was one of those temporary cards that could be cancelled immediately after.  I read the card number and gave the information than she hung up and had me call 202-407-7187 and this is what he stated. "approved to receive $8400 that you don't have to pay back how I been, he told me how I was approved and going to spend this money and wanting to spend your money on bills and wanted to received usbankofnewyear bank to bank wire transfer within 45 min repeated card number back. Next process $240 fee that needs to be taken from debit card.  IRS Tax and state income tax so in the future you wont have to pay for these taxes you have to purchase a green dot money card from walmart and there is 7 money and have you go down to walmart and reload this card for $240 and you will get  your money within 45 mins.

WOW do they think we are that stupid, I can't even get student grants that easily.

Keeps calling. No message. I answered once and an indian speaking guy kept asking for but hung up. Call back = all circuits r busy.

I get calls from this number MANY times a day and they never leave a message. I called back a few times and got the same message others have gotten, 'All circuits are busy'. Going to have to block them!

Bogus call

I cant believe that these people are doing this ,I understand economy is what it is, but trust me all you good people this is a scam "BIG TIME" first of all if you did in fact get a grant from the government you would be notified BY MAIL not by some Indian with broken English. What they do is ask for your bank routing number and promise a wire transfer in 45 minutes but what they do is empty your account after asking you for a 148.00 processing fee,Now please why would the government ask for a processing fee it makes NO sense if a 202 number calls you telling you you have a grant coming tell them NICE TRY !!!!! and hang up ITS A SCAM .  

Keeps calling my cell phone. I don't recognize the number, I don't answer it. However, they keep calling back. Annoying!!!

People saying nasty words about me

I have been getting several calls a day from this number.202-666-5005 I have spoken to them once and got called a [***] by someone of Indian Descent ....when I told them that there was no way I qualified for something I did not sign up for and hell no they could not have my bank card information. I mean really get a damned job people.

I got called today about 345pm and was told I was awarded the grant money and I didn't believe them at all . I kept asking to be oftenly repeated words

I received 6 calls today from this number. Tried calling back and the line is busy. After reading the above comments it's definitely scam and I am blocking these numbers.

Its funny because the tell me the same story to me 3/12/14 this people they don't have nothing to do I am lucky I call my cuzin the I service to the army and he always in the Internet loking for anything and I commented what they tell me and he tell me cuzin be careful that fraud don't duets so I didn't so went the Indian gay call me back I tell him o I think this is fraud and I get mad a litter be and he said this is not fraud man are u want the money yes or no and I said yes but this is sound like  I do not o and I also tel him I ask my cuzin the he work for the usa army and he said o u do not have to tell anyone so I found this conversation so wear so thank to my cuz and god I didn't did nothing wrong so I also search the numbers and I find a lot of coment whit the same numbers

They scammed me out of 240.00  they promised 84000. the bank they gave me wanted almost 500.00 more.
