6/14/2011  6:45pm    phone rang, no one there, no person, no recording

They've called me 3x in the last 5 minutes. Somehow it's overriding my answering machine and the phone is ringing for an extended period of time. The first two times I picked it up. It appears on the Caller ID as "Wireless Caller" the first two times and the third time as "Washington DC" with the number. When I picked it up I got a ringing each time as if I was the one calling someone (in other words, they called me and want me to wait for someone to pick up). I have been getting constant calls from politicians and they are normally recorded messages with no option to remove yourself from their calling list. Anyone have any idea how these numbers can be blocked?

For one thing, JERMARK's comment that these are "great calls" shows this person is a plant for the Bachmann physco camp.  Since when are politically motivated calls to your home at 7pm in the evening a "great call". Besides, who wants to talk to an out of touch republican who has no clue on how to help the country. This 202-683-9323 with callid WASH DC CALL is no worse than a telemarketer. If you answer the phone, chew their ass out and say your name is JERMARK.....I am.
