SCAM!  They say you just qualified for a gov't. grant.  All you have to do is go to Western Union, put in a deposit for $200 and you get $7800 in two minutes.  I called Western Union and was told that it's illegal for them to ask for a deposit and it is definately a scam.

They called me and told me to pick up the money at a western union $ 7800. But 1st i had to send them $200 and they would send it back to me in 2 mins.  why would i send money to pick up money.

Watch out when you don't have a number displayed on your phone with person luring for being selected for 7500$

My father received call from "anna mccoy" with the fedral government grants deptartment telling him about his 7000 governement grant he had been approved for.... all he needed to do was go to a western union and pay a $149.00 deposit and he would get his grant.... my father called me to let me know about the call and  I called them at 202-684-3436 to inquire about this so called government grant.... after questioning "anna" she hung up on me and now wont answer the phone.

I got a call this morning from this number asking me to deposit $200 and receive $7800 from a Western Union

I got a called in this noon.A woman say her mane is Kgin and you just qualified for a gov't. grant.  Are you have going to Western Union now, put in a deposit for $200 and you get $7800 in two minutes. but I don't know where is Western Union location, She say just close to the  Kroger(zip code 77054), you have to going as soon as. I think this is a fraud.(who will take money to earn more money)

I just received a phone call about this mess. It's A SCAM!!!!!! The person that I spoke with was named Karen. And she tolded me that i won  $7800 in a federal grant and to go to the nearest western union with picture ID, A Cellphone, And $200. Then she said to call her back on 202-684-3436 from my cellphone and she will tell me what to say to the people at western union so I can get this money, but she then goes on to tell me that western union has nothing to do with the gov. And if western union knew how much money that i was getting that they would charge me a big fee. THIS A SCAM!!!!!!!

Anna McCoy @ 202 684-3436  stated the governemnt has given me $7,800 and I can put it up at Western Union,  Just take $200 and Western Union will give me $9,00 back,, Her first mistake was when I was told $9,000 instead of $8,00.SCAM!!!!!!

Received a call from a Restricted number. They told me I was randomly selected by the federal government for a non refundable, non taxed grant of $7,000. Only catch was the deposit of $200 (For just two minutes of my time she said) in which I would then receive the $7,800(Notice the change in amount). I told her I didn't have $200, she told me to borrow it from a family member or a friend, then tried to haggle a deposit price that went from $100 to $60, and became very hostile and started yelling.

I've actually received Federal Grants. You don't have to pay them to send it to you, and they don't come Western Union. If you do get called by these people, take down their information and report it to the Western Union Fraud Department. 1-800-448-1492

I got a called from Kelly Smith From India  She said there's a government grant money awarded for me and 2,000 other's congradulations and that i needed to go to western union and send $200. I got scammed for $1,800 I reported consumer report fraud at western union and the police right away.

Kelly Smith called me today and told me I had been randomly selected to receive a government grant of $7500.  She did not ask me for any information just told me to take 200 dollars and 3 forms of Id to western union and I would receive $7800 with in 2 min. (the amount jumped $I00)  I was supposed to call the number when I arrived at western union and she would tell me what paper work I needed to fill out.  She told me not to tell western union what I was doing otherwise they would charge me a large fee.  She kept repeating Us dept of health and human services. I told her I could not go today maybe Monday if I had time.  She had a strong Indian accent and did not speak English very well.

Called me about the govt grant. Don't know how they even got my information! Scary world out there.

I just got a call from this number saying the same as everyone here except her name was Zuliun Miller. I was picked for a gov grant of $7,800 and all i had to do was go to a western union and have an ID and deposit $200 that i would get back in minutes. She said if i didn't have the money i could borrow it from friends or family. As well the whole time she was on the phone with me i could here ppl laughing in the background

ore i could recieve the money and i told them i didnt have it then they said i could send193.00 then i reliesed that they was fool of crap i told them i was callin the police they said call them i told them to send my money back and they said they couldnt and told me when i recieved the 7800.00 when i go t the193 i went off and now they want answer the phone who do i report this to they even stayed on the phone the whole time with me and told me not to tell the western union place that i was talkin to them they would charge me extra  is there any way these peoplew can be stoped

I received a telephone call from a carol browm saying that i qualify for a federal government grant of 7800.00.  I was told to take my id, my cell and 200.00 to my local western union.  I was to call 202 684 3436 when i got there. and then i was told not to say anything to western union because they will charge me more money.  Huh?

Thank God for your opinions people, she's just called me now too :( I was wondering and checked the web site, she called me from 202 - 657 - 5351, gave me address and file number, can't believe what scammers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
