Scam about a grant.

I a call from this number from a lady with broken English about a grant for $10,200 from the government to go towards education, hospital bills. ect.... So I go along with her and she states that it two was to get the money. 1. Is to give her my bank account number and it will be in my account in half an hour. 2. give her my credit card number and they can put it on there?????????? Really.

Received call on my cell phone (I already have a current Do Not Call on cell and land line phones).  As it was a 202 area code, I rejected the call before answering it.

Call 877-382-4357  ftc about 202-697-7222 they took my report in are looking into it I suggest you call and make a report about it also

July 25.  Received two calls from this number.  I could hardly understand the person who claimed to be from the:United States Government Grant????   I told him I was not interested and not to call me again.  How do you get a cell phone on a do not call list?

Received 3 call from 202-697-7222. Did not answer let go to voicemail. No message was left. Thought I would look the number up and saw this page.

I said hello heard a beep they hung up.

I got the same call, two calls from a guy with broken English and one from a woman with broken English, all having the same message! I told the guy the first time they called to put me on their Do Not Call list and that I didn't want to receive any more calls. I ended up getting two more calls! I didn't listen to her and just hung up. I wanted to come online to see if anybody else got this call and found this site. I never heard them asking for info, probably because I kept telling them that I couldn't understand a word they were saying!!!

6 phone calls from 2 days in a row first time i listened to the person just to laugh then they called back i told them to take me off the list then they keep calling me and even when i do answer to yell at them they hang up before i can even say anything I just now added my number to the do not call regesrty and i pray that it makes them stop stupid iphone wont block calls like the droid does...

these calls start @ 8 in the morning until 8 at night
how insulting that someone really thinks a person is STUPID enough in this day & age...to confirm their banking, and credit card information over the phone with someone i didn't call to neither request info or purchase their products from in the first place.

The lady just tried to call me, it was very staticky with a lot of background noise. I confirmed my name then she just hung up! Weird!

I've gotten 5 calls from them I only answered once and a man told me about the grant and everything he gave me three options to give him my bank account, my credit info, or get a pre-paid card to give him the info?? when he was giving me the info to see if it was really me i said no but he said an address i lived in when i was small??

guy sound like foreign accent claims that i will get $ 10200  from goverment grant..in half hour....so i was foolish and damn to give my checking account and routing number.....

Got this foreignor claiming to be from the US Government wanting to provide me with a 10,200 dollar grant. All he wanted was my bank info or debit card. I told him this sounded like a scam and he hung up.

Just received call from this number from a lady with broken English.  Said US Government was going to give me $10,000 that I was not going to have to pay back.  I told her the government never gave me anything for free.  She asked how I could say that about the government when I hadn't even heard the program.  I told her I had lived here all my life and asked her where she lives. She hesitated and said Washington D.C.  I told her I didn't believe her and hung up.  I've had several of these calls within the last two weeks.

Claimed to be some government agency and then I was told 'F... you' when she didn't hear what she wanted to.  Conveniently the phone kept cutting out when I was trying to get information from her.

I received a call from (202)697-7222 stating that my  umber was select to receive a grant of 10,000 of free government funds for what ever reason. I asked how did you get this number. First of all you cant understand nothing the women is saying Second I told her if you have my name you have my address mail the check to me. She stated that it has to go into a checking, saving account. I said OK i will call you back because the number you are calling me from is in the same building i work in, she hung up.

I answer all calls from Area Codes I do not recognize in my best "telephone operator" professional voice. I say "911--what is your emergency?"   Sometimes they ask for me BY NAME but I say again '911---what is your emergency please?"    Several callers from different numbers said it was a wrong number and they would not call again, and they didn't.
