The call said they were the IRS and they have a law suit against me. No reason to have the IRS after me.

They also called us, saying they were the IRS and had a lawsuit against U.S. and to call this number 202 697 9197

Got a call saying the same and called them back to get off their call list and was hung up on.

They called me and said the same exact thing sayin they are filling a law suit against me on 6/11/15. Im young and didn't know the IRS doesn't call u but send letters.tried to call the number back and its busy

It is a scam. This is NOT how the IRS handles audits.  I called the IRS and was advised to call the Treasurer Inspector General for Tax administration at 1-800-366-4484 to report the scam.  They just called my husband and harassed him. Do not give them any information or pay them anything.

Got a voicemail from this call saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit. The IRS would never call, they would send a certified letter....

They called with an audomated voice machine saying the its was going to take me to court.

The old IRS scam.  Time to dump my lane-line.  I get a few bad calls a day!  Our federal government has the power to and should stop these scams.  I pay taxes for this???

got the same call stating IRS is filing a lawsuit.   It's a fraudulent number looking to get money from innocent people. Do not call back.!!!!!!

It is a typical IRS scam. They must be hardup for money. They sounded threating to sue. According to whitepages.com, they(this phone number) are located in Hyattsville, MD.

I got a call from this number coming up as Egypt.  It was an auto dialer with a computer generated message stating what all of you have been saying.  As a CPA, I can assure you, the IRS sends letter after letter and even certified letters to get your attention and then will take from your bank account what they believe you owe if you ignore them.  They DO NOT make such calls and not from a long distance number and especially not from out of the country.  By the way, the IRS already has your bank account information if they want it.  They don't need you to verify or provide it.  PLEASE, do not give out your personal information.  Not your birthdate, your full name, your address, your social security number.  If you have, get legal help.

Got a call from this number. Freaked my mom out! Thank goodness I was here to show her it is a SCAM! They can give an old lady a heart attack.

They called and THREATNED ME with the IRS!

Message left on voicemail from this number last week and also this am. I called back, spoke to Officer Dave Martin?, had a hard time understanding him, asked to speak to an English speaking person, was hung up on. Called back, phone again answered by same man. I asked to speak to his supervisor, was told his Sr. Officer was unable to speak to me as he was at the courthouse filing my lawsuit against me for not paying taxes from 2008 - 2013. He then requested payment of 5K to settle this suit!!! LOL Yeah right!!!

Apparently not - that's why the tax man's after you  LOL.

Received the same exact call 3:24pm on 6/19.

Said, I have been trying to get a hold of you. You need to file papers the IRS wants to talk to you.
