IRS or scam?

Seems like a scam to me. Just left a nondescript message with NO information in it.

It shows as a Verizon wireless phone - if it were the IRS they would have a business phone not a wireless. I bet it is a scam.

I think this is a case of fraud. They called me and made threats. I am sure they are not the IRS.

THINKING THIS IS A SCAM. COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THE FOREIGN ACCENT ON VOICE MAIL AND RETURNED CALL. I DID HEAR LAWSUIT AND IRS. BULL [***]

This is one busy woman with a scam.  We've received 4 calls from this number over the past 4 days.  Woman with foreign accent says she is "Kelly Smith from IRS Tax and Audit Dept."  She says that a lawsuit has been filed in our name and then threatens that if we don't  "- give an urgent call back, she will go ahead with the legal charges".  This is not the IRS; they would send you a letter, and they certainly don't work the phones on the weekend!

This is a SCAM do not give them any information.
Report them to http://www.irs.gov/uac/Report-Phishing the IRS.
They all had foreign accents, and they just keep calling.
They were very rude, cussing and claiming to be the IRS.
Report them to your state fraud department as well.

i spoke to a "Kelly Smith" soulded she was from India- claimed I had 1 hour to pay a 3000.00 IRS bill or they will serve a warrant for fraud- seize assets, passport, house, car etc- when I asked her for her badge number she gave me a phone # and hung up

I got the same exact message. Me being from the south I had to mess with her. She called me a jerk and hung up   HAHAHAHA

Update: radio/tv station KWGN in Denver did a report on this band of thieves last week.  One elderly woman was scammed out of $20,000.  Report these criminals to http://www.irs.gov/uac/Report-Phishing the IRS.

i get a rutheless call from kelly smity too claiming her to be an irs agent  have a claim against me.

My call came from Smelly Kitty. I thought it was That 70s Show.

We received two call today from the same women, very busy women. Thanks for reporting this info., it really helped.

Kelly Smith called our house 15 times I guess she kept calling because we never
responded back...I googled the number that she told us to call back because it sound like a scam.  My suspicions was confirmed when I clicked on this site. Thanks for everyone who posted their experience with  "Kelly  Smith" and this scam!

Got a call from 2026979755.  It's a scam about the IRS.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!

Scam....The IRS never calls; they send letters

Rec'd msg with a man's voice with a very strong foreign accent... said the call was for ((me)) and once he slaughtered my name, he hung up.  No further information.  Argghhhhh......

This is a scam.  They called asking for my husband saying they had a lawsuit filed on him from the IRS and they would have someone at our house in 30 minutes from the sheriff's dept to arrest him.  I told him my husband would be waiting.  Please......of course this is a scam.
