Claim to award $7,000 to Marcello. Wanted a deposit of $280 from Western Union. I called back, they identified themselves as U.S. Treasurey claiming for good criminal background the department is awarding people.

I got the same message.

called and said I qualified for government grant that they give out every year to a select few. Money does not have to be paid back. Said I had to go to Western Union and pay $225 get the grant. Said his name was Sam Masoni from Health and Human Services of the government.

I was called by someone by the mane of Peter smith claiming that I qualified for a grant from US federal grant department .  He gave me his ID number file confirmation number and ask me to go to nearest western union and call them back at the call back number.  I am skeptical about this and they said to bring $225 dollars, too.  I think this is a scam.

I just got this call from what they they said was the U.S Tressuary, they said that I had recieved a grant of 7,800 all i had to do was go the western union and take my phone and a deposit of 280 dollars.  I know that it is a scam so I am just letting everyone know.

They called me yesterday and said they would give me $7000 dollars if all I needed to do was send a deposit to western union in her name Fiona Morris and gave me everything I needed to do was bring phone and call them before I got their I was gonna do it but sister told me not to!

i called the number back and told the guy who answered that what he was doing was illegal and a scam and that he should be ashamed of himself and he didnt know what to say. so guaranteed it is a scam. i mean which government agency really answers the phone after just 3 rings... [***]! and the bad part is that so many people fall for it, its a shame that such horrible inconsiderate people exist in this world. this call received 12/4/2012

yesterday some one call me that  USA Federal Govt selected me to give me $7800 and go to western union store and claim for the money.and deposit 225 cash in western union  for checking evedence, but i am some confused is it really or feack. please advise me its real or feack. thanks.

Was told I could receive a gov't.  grant for $7,750 if I took $275 to western union and
sent Rome this money and in return he would send me a total of $8,025. Don't fall for this, It is a scam........

Just finished a lengthy call with a woman who "says" she works with the service of human health and services.... her english was hardly audible. Same story as everyone elses tho..... I'll get $7800 if I send a $250 deposit.... complete with grant number and I don't have to pay taxes on it... just a personal grant for having no criminal record, no bankruptcy and filing my taxes on time....... Wish It was for real.... and so does all of my bill collectors :)

I got the same scam call today, don't fall for it!

I told them to have Barak call me.  I know it was bull.  How are you going to ask someone for 250 and tell them they won 7000.  why don't you just give me 6750.  they hung up.

was told to call 202 697 9640 and give my money confirmation #.  was told to give $330 to western union for a security deposit.  I called back & gave the guy a major ear full.  told him if i could see him right now that i would slap the water out of him because i just was laid off last week.

A man with a very heavy accent called saying that he was giving a $9000 government grant, wanted me to give him banking info or a credit card to send the money to, i asked if he could send a check, he told me to go to walmart and buy a prepaid visa and call back an give him the number.

I just got da same call to day it is bs so just to let u know don't do it. It may sound gud but it not thank u guys 4 let me know safe me from a lot of bs

OMG thank u they just called me saying go walmart get a pre paid card pay 205 and I will get 10,200 im unemployed and it sounded so good thank u guys for letting me know this a scam

This person named Nancy called me and said she was with the U.S government and that I was approved for a $7,000 grant. Then she gave me another number to call and said the guy in charge of my claim name was Jonny Snow. He told me all I had to do was send $350.00 via western union and they would send me the $7,000. They need to be caught by the FBI for impersonating a government offical.

I just received a call saying that I won a free grant and gave me this exact call back #. They asked for my acct # and routing # and bank name and my mailing address but didn't mention anything that I had to pay anything. What in the world is this??
