I have been receiving calls saying that they had a $10,000 grant for me for home repairs. I was elated as my roof needed repairs that I could not afford. They said it would cost me $200 and I would receive $10,000 in 3-10 minutes through Western Union.  I sent them $200 on a Green Dot card and waited 30 minutes then I called them. They said that their computers were down so to go home and when they were up again they would call me with the Tracking number for the money.  Then I waited an hour for them, they didn't call so I called them back. They said that it would cost another $400 to get the money.  That's when I figured that it must be a scam, so I told them it sounded like a scam to me. They said Mr. Major this is not a scam we would not do that to you this is for real.  I told them there was no way I was sending them another dime, that I would be a fool to go for this, so they hung up on me.  Now they won't leave me alone. They keep calling with different amounts to still receive this money.  I keep saying no and asking them to refund my money, they refuse and hang up.  The last thing I did was ask them for a real address so I would know that they were for real.  It took them a while but they finally gave me the 200 Independence Avenue SW Washington DC 20201 Attention John Berry. I still have not cooperated because I called the local Police and they told me it was a scam.  They still keep calling even though I told them what the police said. How do I get them to stop?

Got a call from 2027384653 told me to go to a store and buy a greendot card and put 200 on this and call back! I'm not going to do this at all I feel it's messed up that people like this do things to people that really need a brake paying there bills.

Got a call from this number saying they had a $10,000 grant for me and i needed to send them $371.00 via my paypal and they would in turn deposit the $10,000 in my paypal account.I asked them to email me the info on the grant and why i had to send money to get money Travis said he was unable to email me. These are foreign born pricks that are looking for money from the people of America so they can have the funds to launch another attack against the U.S.A like the foreign born son of [***] did on 9/11/2001 DON'T LET THEM DO IT AGAIN!

this is so fake !!! I got a call from the same number, and i told them first i would google thier phone number, and guess what ? Here i am ,they wont fool me ,! And i wont be funding anything they plan on using are American money with, :) God Bless America

This number kept coming and it showed private name, so today, I answered.  It was about free grant me, they gave me a code and this 202-738-4653 number to callback.  I will not call back but I want them to stop calling me.

These people called me and said, I have been granted $9,000 and in order to collect the money, I had to pay $150.00 processing fee. I told them I have no money, and they said, my file will be placed on hold pending when I am able to make this payment.
Please, fellow American, do not fall into these people's scam. Don't send money to them. They may be planning to use it to further terrorist attack on US soil.

I got a call from "Washington DC, the "government" who wants me to have $9000.00 because I have not filed for bankruptcy and have otherwise been a good citizen.:)

I was given a confirmation number: and told to call the 202 number back.  I called back using a different  phone from the one they called me on and the phone just rang and rang.

These people called me last Thursday(April 2 2015) saying they would give me 9,000 if I sent them 150 for processing fee!

I just received a call stating that I was chosen to receive $9000 in free grant money then the guy went on to tell me that I had topay $150 get this money I told him I may have been born at night but not last night. I told him that I knew that this was a scam and the only idiot would be the one that I am talking to on the other end of the phone.he kept telling me that I needed to send the $150 and I told him not going to happen if the money was free you wouldn't be paying to get it .then he hung up

I was called about a 9000 dollar grant that they say I wouldn't have to pay back. Do not trust it at all .

These POS keep calling me from a blocked number, I let them talk forever the make them waste time with hope that they will stop calling the same guy over and over but they keep calling nonetheless.

I get about three calls a day (EVERY DAY) from individuals posing as employees from the US Treasury department, and I know it was scam...but I believe that every actual federal employee has been given some sort of Federal ID number that Identifies and that's what I ask the caller to provide when they call and that seems to trip them up every time, sorta get a kick of it. One guy actually came clean and admitted and told the truth about (smh)

I said I didn't believe them and a week later they sweetend the deal

I just received a call from a 202-000-1111 number and they told me I had won a grant for $9,000 from the government to do what ever I wanted with it as long as it was not anything illegal.  They stated that I had been chosen because I did not have any record of a criminal history, which is true.  They provided me the 202-738-4653 number to call along with a "grant ID" number to obtain this so called grant money from the US government.  First off, I am on the "DO NOT CALL" list, so how on earth did they get my number. Secondly, this all seems too good to be true and apparently it is.  I hate to say this, but I blame our government for not regulating this mess of robo and cold calling from these foreign nations.  Who is selling them our information? How do they have such easy access to our domestic calling numbers.  If the US government monitored these foreign corporations as much as they monitored their own citizens, they should be able to shut down these scam artist before it creates a financial burden on the citizens of these united states.  Not only are these illegal acts, but this is only one of many illegal acts these people are getting away with. SMH....

I also received a call today from a "private caller" and they stated that the US government was going to give me a grant of $9,000.00 for not being arrested, paying taxes, and not filing bankruptcy, which are all true.  I knew it had to be a scam, but I listened further to the caller.  She gave me a confirmation number and a call back number of 202-738-4653 to speak with her manager about getting the funds via Western Union and as quickly as today.  Once I was off the phone, I searched the phone number she had provided, and here I am.  I will not be calling them back as I now have confirmation that this is a scam.  There was no mention during he initial call of paying a processing fee, but I am guessing that this information would have been shared by the "manager" if I had called back the phone number they had provided.  Thanks for the confirmation...the comments here have saved me the headache of calling back.

They call about a grant that I win from the US HHS and they wanted  $180 in order to deposit 9000 but I didn't  fall  for it

chinese lady just Call me toda 6/2/15 saying i won 9,000 dollars because i dont have bad record lady gave me this number to Call 202 738 4653 i ask are they going to ask me foor money the lady Hung up on me samething happened before they did not get money from me i will go to the police today to report all that scam open eyes americans!!
