Got a call from this number. When I asnwered they hung up.

Calls hangs up, tried to call back and says Verizon number is not in service or has been changed? Whatever

ya no message just called back same thing not a working number

Just dead silence on the other end.  Think they're trolling for working numbers to sell to someone else?

Card member services, been asking them for a year to remove me from their database.  When I do I get hung up on. Offering to lower my credit card interest rate. I dont have credit cards but even when I play along to get a live person they just hang up.  Play along and ask for supervisor to verify that it isn't a scam and then you can get the companies name so an official report can be filed.  DO YOUR PART TO HELP CATCH THESE LOSERS!

Card Member Services.  I pressed 1 to speak to a live person.  I asked that person to please remove my number from their database and he YELLED "GAAAAAHAAAHHHHHH" and then he hung up.  Really?

I reported the number to the DoNotCall.Gov website.

I get calls from this number, they don't leave a message, when I try to call them, I get the message, the call cannot be completed.

How in the hell do these companies make calls from "non-existant" numbers? This is very frustrating, and completely flauts the do not call "law", which is apparently useless and toothless anyway.

Called my cell. It was a robocall for credit card services. These people use autodilaers to dial every number in an exchange, e.g. (202) 747-1103, -1104, 1105, so they will get you even if you have unlisted and/or cell phone numbers. These outfits do not check the Do Not Call list and often "spoof" the caller id.

Got a call....yelled hello 3 times and disconnected it....
How do they do any business if they are never on the line?
202 is Washington DC.....does that matter?

I have finally figured out a way to stop these ridiculous calls. I am a realtor, so I have to answer all calls. However, anytime it is one of these, I store in my phone as SOLICITOR CALL. Then next time, I don't have to answer, I just hit ignore. They never leave messages. I now have about 120 SOLICITOR CALL phone numbers stored in my phone - but I ignore them so they don't bother me so much. During a closing I received 3 SOLICITOR CALLS and didn't have to answer or worry that I missed an important call.
