who is this?

I work for a tax company, and I just had a call from one of our clients. She was very scared, because someone (who was very hard to understand) called her and her husband stating that they owe because they didn't file a certain form. She told the man that she would fix the situation, but she needed some time. He told her that if she were to hang up the phone, he would be sending the cops over right away. You can just imagine how scared she was, since she has young kids. I mentioned this to my co-workers, since I know that the IRS does not operate this way. A co-worker mentioned to me that it happened to one of her clients, so I called my client back and asked for the # that called her. 202-803-5026. I googled it and brought me to this. I informed her to call the IRS directly and let them know what is going on, and not to answer the calls anymore. If they keep harassing her to call the cops.

I have received numerous call from this number.  A pre recorded message is requesting me to call back IRS or there will be a legal action against me.  I have heard that phone phone calls are going around.  I am not sure if this one is for real or not.

I received a call from this number (202-803-5026), from a person identifying himself as David Marshall. He said he was an IRS agent, and they received a complain and would now take legal action if I did not call back. A clear scam since he got my first and last name wrong, and my taxes have been filed properly. I did not call back.

Do not pay those scammers! Call the IRS, not the number they want to you call back on! On the IRS website, they said there have been these scams going around, so watch out!

I got the exact same call from David Marshall!!!  Thanks for letting me know.  I'll go to the IRS website right now and report this.

I just got this call on my cell and home phone.  Whats up with this?

Just got the same message on my answering machine.  Legal action if I do not call back right away.

collection agency - call back immediately to avoid legal action. Robo call - don't even know my name.

I also got a call from this 202-803-5026 with two messages telling me to call immediately.  When I did they told me I had an arrest warrant and that someone would be arresting me shortly If I didnt agree to settle out of court and pay taxes owed from years ago.  When pressed they kept threatrening that they were calling the US Marshall to arrest me immediatly so I called the police from another line and they said to hang up,  it was a scam.. When I tried to report hte fraud to IRS, I was directed to the Fed Trade comm. and the phone number provided told me to file an online complaint site before disconnecting.  This site didnt even ask the phone number of caller but I left my info.  I dont thihk the IRS cares or we would see reports of this scam at least a weej old.  I called  back the site and I told them I called the police  and he just kept threatening me..
