Received a phone call this afternoon from 919-30! Spoke with Martin Banks stating that I would be receiving a free government grant for $10,000.00! I just need to call 202-821-4239 and speak with Pamela Stevens to verify my information. After calling and speaking to Ms. Stevens she informed me that I would need to go to a Western Union and pay $100 for a processing fee and it would be donated to 1 of 3 organizations. Of coarse I didn't pay cause I thought something was up. I reported this to the FTC!

I had called from this number and tried to call back and I gotten a busy dial tone. It was regarding federal issue.

I received a call saying that if I ignored this call and didn't call back, that it would considered a federal offense.  It said I needed to call back and speak to a federal agent.

Said to call back to speak to federal agent and this was my last warning. Yeah OK, except that my best friend is a federal agent and I speak to him daily....what a SCAM!

Threatening calls saying crap about FBI, CIA, and that I must call them to resolve unexplained complaints.

Received a call from this number saying that this was the final attempt to contact me prior to the Federal Government filing a criminal action against me in a court of law. Said to call this number back. They answered "Internal Revenue Service, this is Jason, how can I help you." I hung up. Obviously a scam.

Federal offense warning - apparently I need help before appearing before a judge. This is their last attempt to contact me. Total scare tactics - very scary for those who don't know any different.

Another call attempting to intimidate for a non-existent federal offense,...... this is a complete fear based scam... I put it on my blocked numbers list...

Got a call claiming to be the IRS- stating the same bs everyone has listed above; that a random audit had been conducted and that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me for the misfiling of my taxes for X amount of years, as they had 'decided' that it was done on purpose. I actually humored them for a moment, and they said I could "resolve" my case out of court by paying 4,900-something dollars, continually asking me if I wanted to resolve or fight my case.

I continued by asking them what was miscalculated on my taxes, and they of course would not give me any definite answer, just that I needed to pay or be ready to have my accounts and properties seized and that a federal warrant would be put out for my arrest. Finally they asked again if I would like to fight or resolve and I said "fight, of course." To which they simply said "then you need to hire a lawyer to represent yourself in court and thank you for your call." And hung up!

What a load of sh*t!!

Just got called from the "IRS" and talked to them for 20 minutes.  Almost had me convinced they were legit, after all, they claimed I had a bench warrant out for my arrest for unpaid paxes, and I would be arrested today if I didn't pay, and of course, according to them previous attempts to contact me by mail show that I received the notice, but I surely didn't.  These guys are all Indians (from India), which was the first clue that something was up. Second clue was that they wouldn't let me hang up the phone so I could call the local IRS office to determine if they were legit.  If I were to hang up, according to them the case would automatically go to the sheriff and I would be arrested, go to jail, have legal fees, etc.  Tried to get me to buy a card which would have given them access to my bank account, so I could take that card to the local IRS agent, and that had to happen today or the police would come for me.  I'm sure these guys are raking in the bucks with this tactic.  Don't fall for it!

Just received the same call. They tried to tell me they would only accept a cash deposit and would stay on the phone with me, until I reached my bank at which time they would provide their back account number and routing number to me. These guys are jerks. Please report them on the IRS's website. It is a crime to impersonate the IRS!

So how do you report these guys? Funny how they always say "you" and have no idea who they are calling.

Pretty much told them to f×$% themselves and stop calling. They call daily!

Got an automated message saying to call back or its a federal offense. Did not use my name or number.

Just a scam number, block and move on!

Recording cuts in already begun....  attempt to  avoid an Initial appearance before a majestrate, judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. This is the final attempt to reach me. To resolve this issue immediately and to speak to a federal agent call 2028214239.

Yeah you can block the number, but it's just as obnoxious to receive countless voicemails from them daily. Still doesn't resolve the problem.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number with the same nonsense everyone else has posted. Said they were with the IRS in DC. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with my taxes from a specific date and that I needed to hire a lawyer. I stated for them to take my number off of their list. They told me to go to hell and hung up. On the voicemails they stated it was their last time reaching me for this federal offense
