Received a call from the "fraud" division saying it was in my best interest to return the call.  The person works for JP Associates, but the number is a cell phone that belongs to an Ashleigh Michaels.

Called claiming they were from the "fraud and worthless claim division." A woman who claimed to be a "senior investigator" got on the phone and asked me for my social security number. When I refused, she started screaming, claiming that they were going to have me picked up by the police and I could then verify it to the judge if I liked. I still refused, and she said, "I hope you like it in jail," and hung up.

I haven't had a checking account in almost 7 years, and the statute of limitations on bounced checks is generally around 2 years, meaning this is some company who purchased a check I might've bounced a decade ago, for pennies on the dollar, and they're going to try and scare me into paying them for it.

These are bottom feeders of the worst kind. If they call and threaten you, don't worry. They have zero ability to do anything.

Yeah some Amanda White chick keeps calling my 13 yr olds cell phone. Asking for my child by first and last name. Stating shes involved in a fraud case thats pending.... Well Amanda White, in case you stumble across this comment in passing... the lady who called me kept saying that she will be prosecuting me, and they will not except money unless i pay them 5000.00 today, if i can not pay 5000.00 today someone will pick me up and prosecute me to the fullest estinct of the law, she said it was from 2008, and she will see me in court

I got a call from her to day at a 202 827 1132 number and she told me that they were going to pick me up if I refused to pay $840 through money gram with in an hour.  She was very rude and refused to answer any questions I ask her.

I got a phone call from AMANDA WHITE this morning and she claimed to be with a Fraud collection company. She told me I had 2 hours to pay $992 of a warrent would be out for me. I was lost?
