Called and left a message said had an important,  time sensitive legal matter.

Called and left a message regarding Tax Fraud. Guy sounded foreign, said name was 'Ryan Smith'

talked to my wife claiming to be from IRS.

This guy Ron Davis I think he is a fraud. Someone should report him please

Called and asked for me by my maiden name saying he was from a criminal debt investigation office. When I asked him what debt he was referring to, he refused to provide the information.  I stated that since he couldn't provide me with any information than I was not going to speak with him and report him. His response was go ahead and call the police, they can't help you. I called the non emergency number on my cell phone while I was on the phone with him. When he heard me talking to the police, he hung up. I gave the police the information that I had which was his phone number.

Keeps calling after being told not to call back. Says that I applied for a loan, which I haven't.

WE have received multiple calls from this number with similar issues citing tax issues. Clearly fraudulent

my wife got the same call and I reported it to the federal trade commission at 1-877-382-4357.
if enough people report it they file a class action lawsuit

I am curious as to what the police said? I just got off the phone with them too and it is pure harassment - I've asked my accountant to call them back and see if that helps, but if ANYONE has been able to find a way to report them, if there is any way the law enforcement can stop these [***], I would appreciate hearing from you. It is disgusting how these things can happen and there's no law to prevent them from continuing....

The first time I got a call from them (in January) I called the IRS directly. They asked me to file a complaint with the FTC and make sure to list it as IRS Tax Phone Scam. I filed the initial complaint online but since then I call the FTC and have them add to my initial complaint. You're given a reference number so they can access your complaint by that number and add to it. EVERY time they call, I update my complaint. These lowlifes use different phone numbers but all of them use the exact same verbiage, like they're reading off a script. I don't know if it's a bunch of "independent" scammers or if they're working together. The common thread beside the words they use is that they all seem to have Indian accents.
I would suggest, at the very least you file a complaint with the FTC. Here's their number  1-877-382-4357 (M-F 8-5 East Coast) or you could do it online. I prefer actually speaking to them. They may be able to offer you more suggestions for fighting this scam.

 I just got the 2028641165  call, indian accent, Frokimm the IRS, debt trouble, I need to seek legal council.  Ect.   They are still at it.,  Thank Goe I googled the number and found you all or I might have believed something was a miss.... I called FTC. buit they said to call attorney general in Ma.  OK I will do that..

Got a call claiming we had an IRS claim against us and it was a time sensitive issue that required us to call right back. I didn't call back because I saw the other posts when I googled the number.

Called my house seven times this morning claiming to be from the IRS and threatened my husband that he was going to be arrested for non-payment of taxes.  He wanted $2100.00.  Does anyone know who is making these calls?

got 4 calls from this number yesterday and today.  Guy spoke with a foreign accent.  Told me that there is a law suit filed against me by the IRS.  "The minute you get this message call back.. If not I wish you good luck"

YES he has called 3 times saying he is from the IRS. The last time he called, I called back and told him I was recording the phone call. He hung up by saying the FBI would lock me up!!!!  Complete JERK, living in our country scamming people.

Received a call from 202-864-1165.  Heavy accented man identified himself as David White from the IRS.  Someone filed a lawsuit against me and I have to call him back immediately.  If not...."good luck to you...for it will be bad".   Somehow I'm not buying he's from the IRS.

We have received four of these calls, the last one this morning at 4am.  Have never picked up or reported them.  Anyone have any success in stopping these calls?  Thanks for posting, everyone.
