I'd like to know the same thing.

This is a "spoofed up" number (not a real one) from a telemarketing company apparently run by Chinese in Florida (as they all sound that way totally).  They want "Green Dot" vouchers (Money orders) to be bought URGENTLY from the local walgreens / any other store close by (to the tune of $3000) to be given it to them.  This is FRAUD!  Don't get deceived.  No one from IRS will call you (without any prior written letter sent by postal mail). Beware. Report this call to the State Department.

Robo-call from "Officer Marks" claims money is owed to the IRS and to return the call immediately or have our attorney do so. Riiight.

Left me a message, "So, I want you to call me back, at 202 864 1248". Claiming to be from IRS. I have received calls from "fake IRS" before too, from different numbers, with someone with South Asian accent. An IP trace indicated that it is from Pakistan (I guess South Asian accent is similar over there). The previous caller asked for debit card payment, Western Union or money transfer to avoid IRS action that he wouldn't give me any details about. I thought it was some Mullah Taliban outfit raising funds from old Americans to terrorize us more. But this 202 864 1248 caller's accent was clearly American, yet the trace went back to Pakistan. Fake harassing calls. I placed a block on the caller and his first 6 digits.
