Got a call from this number.Some guy left a msg. stating me or my lawyer needed to get in touch with him about a time sensitive subject.When I called back it said I R S not Internal Revenue Service.The government is shut down so how could it be THE IRS.Plus I haven't needed to file taxes for over 10 years.

I also got a call from this # while a work today saying my lawyer or I need to contact them immediately, I called back and it said IRS and just played music then said the mailbox was disabled for this exension

I also got a call from this guy and he left a message saying if i or my lawyer don't call back that I would be sorry

This is a fake call. Do not be scared about the call. These guys will try to scare you
And get some money from you. Just hang up on them.

This IRS must stand for I R Scam.  
I hung up on this call and a few hours latter this call claiming to be from the IRS called again. We are a business and the call did not address a person or business to whom it may concern. (202) area code is Washington DC. Wouldn't the Internal Revenue Service call from our States Capital office?

IRS would call from your regional office where-ever one files taxes. The 202-888-3257 is a SCAM to part our money from our bank accounts.

got call from IRS which area code start with 202....didnt get full no. was too fastt. stating we evaded tax n we should call the no. before we get arrested???? we paid tax faithfully n dont understand why.... scared heck out of me.

the IRS calls NO ONE.  these are criminals trying to fake that they are from the IRS etc and you avhe to pay yoru taxes...and ask for your bank acct info etc.

the irs calls no one (og to www.irs.gov and look up scammers/ policy on contacting taxpayers...they only send letters asking you to report to their local offices if they have a question.  this is a criminal scammer trying to separate you from your money....so if they call again invite them over to meet you  in person have your shotgun..handy. or tell them to f off you arent scared of them etc....or just hang up and call your local police
