Call from Microsoft, claimed to be in CA, stated that the ports on the firewall had allowed some malware to take over and that my home business records were stolen.  If I gave them my credit card number, they would get on my computer and fix the problem.  When I said to give me the phone number to call them back , that I didn't have my credit card in my desk, they finally gave me this number.  There is no answer when I call back.  The man's name was Sam Williams.

Another phone scam for the holidays.  My computer guru checked my computer and tried to contact this number.  My computer was ok, number was fake.  She told me that MS and similar companies do not call anyone out of the blue, especially small businesses and individuals.  Thank you, guru.

got a call that claimed my computer was infected lady was very insistent and said they were working for microsoft windows she tried to get my credit card number but I would not give it ,her name is Nancy Woods
she is very convincing but I had big doubts as my computer was workin ok

Got a call from this number someone saying they were from Microsoft.  Guy got incredibly rude when i told him he was full mangoes.  One would think MS would

They phone MANY times per month. I've gotten to the point where I imitate them and have told them to stop phoning me and stop scamming innocent old ladies from their retirement money. I've even had it where - after I hang up on them - they'll phone again and hang-up on ME - basically saying "it's ok for ME to hang-up on you, but *not* for YOU to hang-
up on ME."

If anyone has their fax number, let me know .... I'll send them 50-page blank fakes all day long.  Or try to sell THEM something - maybe JESUS.  Ha!  I'll phone them all day long - ha!!

Call from 'windows support' saying a windows computer had a virus.  Centre said was from Brooklyn NY.  Wanted my CC number to remedy the problem.  After a few questions the caller hung up on me. I tried to sell him my 'windows' computer.

Got a call from this number. A fellow with a thick Indian accent told me I have malware on my computer. He got me to check the event logs to demonstrate that there are errors and warnings on my computer. After a whole lot of nonsense, he transferred me to his supervisor. She told me she wanted to remotely control my PC to remove the "malware". I stopped her right there, and told her I had no idea whether she was herself an imposter. I demanded some identification. She said they are Windows Support, and gave me this number: 347-480-2300, which is also a scam number!

DO NOT do anything these liars say. It is a scam.

I just received a call from this phone number the woman said her name was Edward James and the call back number was 347-480-2301.  She said I was having problems with my computer and I need to turn it on.  She gave me a computer ID number and told me not to give it to anyone.  She said my computer has been hacked and there was all sorts of illegal activity going on with it.  She was very pushy and insisted that she call me backl tomorrow.    The number that showed up on my cell phone was:  203-026-2037.

they called this morning with 000-000-0000 but the real # was above I do not answer these #'s  someone called a few days ago no # but after 9 pm so answered the person said there was some problem with my widows but he had such a heavy accent it was hard to understand  him I asked how he would know I had or didn't have a computer he decided to hang up .

Got a call from this same number. The guy had a very thick Indian accent when I told him that have a Mac and not a PC he hung up.

Be careful, you might get stuck with some unwanted long distance charges if you are calling them back.

I reported my phone call to the better business bureau, she said the best thing I could have done was hang up on the lady with the Indian accent that said I should immediately get on my computer because I was being hacked and that she was calling from windows. I feel bad for the people who aren't used to scams and these people doing this to the innocent should burn in Hell.

Received a call from this number this morning. Presumably Indian sounding gentleman confirmed speaking to Mr or Mrs (my maiden name), and claimed to be from Windows Support and that when my computer goes on the internet it flags as hacked with malware. That's when I just hung up on him. Not today, sir.

Just got call from 2030262037.  7 freaking AM in the morning.  Woman name Sharon with Indian accent said she's from mywindowsupport and would like to help me on my windows computer.  Insisted I have malware on my computer.   I told her I'm not using windows and she hung up.  

This is the 3rd similar call recently.  

Continued calls from this number.  

I just got a call from 203-026-2037 which is a Ct number. The guy with an extremely heavy foreign accent, I couldn't tell where it was from. He said his name was "Peter" and he was calling about my computer...I responded with, "I don't have a compute so you must be a scam". and I hung up.  

Got a call just now from Windows Server, "Peter Watson"  (with a heavy Indian accent) told me my computer has generated an error message in the server, and he was here to help me fix it..........lo l( a buddy of mine has received this call also, so I was loaded for bear). As he went thru his script I messed with him at every turn, till he finally put "Sharon" on the line (also a heavy accent). as I messed with her she finally shouted at me, When your Computer blow's up don't call her begging for help.....LMAO, I then informed her that I didn't call her this time and she hung up.......NOW THAT WAS FUN!!!!!!!!!

Over the past several weeks, I have been getting calls from this number repeatedly, if the displayed Caller ID is to be believed. I never answer it (because I don't know anyone in CT), and they never leave a message. It would be nice if something can be done to hunt these people down and put a stop to this BS.

This guy with the Indian accent tells me that they are getting a message from my computer that it is being hacked and if I will just turn the computer on, they will fix the problem.  I have learned to ask him what system is reporting the problem, and when he says "Windows" I ask him to repeat the statement that  he is getting a message from MY computer.  He lies--I don't have a PC, I have the one with the name of an edible fruit.  No Windows--he's scamming.  I told him since he is smart, he should do helpful things for people, not harmful!!
