i got a call to, 20 sec of dead air

They call every day. please make it stop ; )

It is a telemarketer regarding some kind of protection for your car, I think it is a scam I called the number back and got the name Jeff and asked him to put me on his do not call list, he new what kind of car i used to drive.

Yes, I get this call all the time. Apparently he has some sort of information.  This internet and the constant invasion of your privacy has to stop.

Left Message waned to speak to owner of this house, said was a long distance operator. Very spooky voice on message.

Calls frequently but never leaves a message on our answering machine.  Caller ID shows phone number only, no company name. If they do not enable their name for caller ID purposes, usually there is a reason.  Watch out.  Further, if the caller lets the phone ring a number of times disturbing you, but does not leave a message, it is harassment.  If it was important enough, or legitimate, they would leave a message.  To this caller (203) 204-2992, please abide by the National Do Not Call List. If a phone number is on the list (like us), do not call to make solicitations.

I was told by telemarketer that it is "Vehicle Control Registry" and they want to sell me an "extended warranty" on a Toyota.  I guess Toyota or Motor Vehicles sells them the information.  Being on the Do Not Call list and ASKING them to stop calling doesn't help.

I tried calling # back within 1 min of being called and got a recording saying disconnected.

Didn't pick up and no message was left.

called last week, said they were some kind of car protection company.  Name unknown on called id. I asked that they do not contact me again since I was on a do not call list. They called again today and I again told them to stop calling me.  Somehow I think these calls won't stop. What good is registering with Do Not Call? This is one of many of these calls that we get from telemarketers on a daily basis. They should be fined.

they called my private number that isn't registered to anything..so they are cold calling randmon numbers... called me 3 days in a row.. i've blocked the number so my phone will never ring again

they know all of your vehicle information including your full name, and I'm really uncomfortable with that fact. But you can tell by the way they push you to lock in RIGHT NOW that something's up.

Scam, sell extended warranty for my Jeep. I guess it's the dealer who sold my private information to these scammers.

None, busy signal when I returned call.

I am checking into FCC violations immediately and I suggest all people receiving calls from the aforementioned number do the same. A complaint must be filed immediately and calls must be made to dealers and the sneaky Motor Vehicle dept.! I assume we are all over the map in terms of location so each must contact their own M.V. Dept.. AIso, I noticed many makes of vehicles mentioned in this forum. Mine is a Kia. The guy asks very quickly for my husband and when I begin to say, "He is not a available," I am cut off before I can even get the words out. He only uses my husbands first name and he is what I consider to be rude.
I will post again with info. About the calls I make. Does a rule or law need to change?...hmmmmm
