Somebody called me yesterday, no message. I call back and the record said call-back on Monday nobody can take my call.......

Someoe keeps calling from this number. How can this be blocked?

Next time they call, answer as Homicide Department. They never call back.

Calls often but I don't answer before 3 rings,...records as "a missed call"

Called and hung up when answered. Definitely looking to see if my phone is active for telemarketers. This is the worst scum of the earth

They sell silver and gold I previously called inquiring about prices they were way too high and I told them so they are very high pressured sales people that I don't care to do business with

Called my cell. I missed call. Is this one of the one ring scams on news recently or telemarketer?

Just called....and since I never pick up unfamiliar numbers it went as missed.....they left no message.  

If you want to block calls like this I suggest you check out Google Voice. You contribute, by marking these calls as "spam" to a blacklist that google analyzes and pushes through on future spam filter updates.

Also when you block a number, a message is broadcast to the caller "Beeep Beeeep Beeeeeeep The number you have dialed is no longer in service. Please check the number you are dialling and try your call again."

How great is that??

Plus you can enable a call record option that plays a quick audible recording that discloses that the conversation is being recorded. But it plays so quick, its only purpose is for plausible deniability.

And you can screen the person's message live as they leave it.

And set a schedule of when to ring which phone on what schedule.

It's a virtual number (and yes they port numbers in so if you want to keep your number ... ) that has multiple numbers (i.e. office, home landline, mobile, etc.) so you never have to change your number again. You just keep plugging whatever number you want into your Google Voice dashboard and wallah!!

Oh and ... it's free. 100% Unless you're dialing international numbers, then there is like a .10 cent rate or something like that.

I received a cell phone call from (203) 242-7889 at 7:47 PM on January 30, 2014.  I did not answer.  No voicemail was left.

I think it might be... but I'm also now paranoid about that because I just read that article.

Scammers phishing for your credit card information.  Spoof different numbers all day long. They call at least once a day.  I'm to the point I reject the calls every time.  If you make the mistake of answering and pressing 1 after the automated message, they WILL continue to call.  Every effort to get them to stop will not work: asking to be removed from the list, telling them you do not have a credit card, asking to speak to a supervisor, asking for a number to call them back.  Any questions you pose will result in them hanging up on you.

I live in upstate NY and have received multiple calls from this number.  I am on the national do not call list to no avail.
