Someone from this number (caller ID shows Wolcott, CT) called and asked for my boss, but he butchered the pronounciation of his name.  This generally indicates someone trying to sell an investment.  When I started to say my boss was away today, the caller hung up on me half-way through the statement.  This DEFINITELY indicates someone cold-calling.  How ignorant!

Same thing today, except the caller, identifying himself as Kevin from Columbus (name of his business) said he had sent a FedEx package and wanted to make sure our CEO received it.  I told him that I handle all packages; he muttered that he'd ask his secretary and abruptly hung up.  These types of calls come in every day.

I got the same call....This time it came up Olympia and his name was Kevin.  I said "we got disconnected, can I help you?" he then said I have the wrong number.

Called our office asking for the owner by name, also the name of the business, and identified himself as Kevin from Columbia, I asked for his number, he said my boss had it, I asked for his number again, he asked me why I needed his number. I asked him why he needed to speak to my boss. He said he needed to talk to him about a FedEx package they spoke about earlier. I then told him he should know that my boss isn't even in this state right now. He said he would call his cell and hung up.

Called our office ask for boss by name.  When I said he was in a meeting, he said he would call him on his cell.  What a liar!

Had this call this morning..same thing asked for my boss I said he was traveling and he hung up!

Caller ID came up Olympia Management, and the caller asked for my boss without identifying himself. When I asked who he was and what the call was in regards to, he said he was Kevin Taylor and he was calling about a FedEx package that he sent to my boss. I sign off on all of the packages at our office, and I told him that we had not received one here, and asked for a tracking number. He hung up.

Olympia Asset Management was on the display.  The caller asked for my CEO by name, and when told he was not available, he said "That's OK, I'll call his cell" and abruptly hung up!

Yes we received same call - the caller is very rude and unprofessional

I had a similar experience today.  A person asked for our CEO by name, and when I asked for his name he said Kevin Taylor.  When I transferred the call to our CEO, he hung up.  Is he just trying to verify names in companies?

Just received a call from this number 203-441-4557. The person on the other end of the line asked for my boss.  When I asked who it was he stated 'KEVIN TAYLOR', when I asked from where he stated my company is 'COLUMBUS'.  I then proceeded to tell him my boss was not in the office. 'KEVIN TAYLOR' hung up before I could get the word office out of my mouth.  I attempted multiple times to contact him back however there was no verbal sound on the other end, just a crackling sound - maybe 'KEVIN TAYLOR' was having problems with his headset or realized I was attempting to contact him back to give him an earful.  For all the 'KEVIN TAYLOR'S' in the world a/k/a telemarketers, scums of the earth, leeches, dirt bags and I could go on and on. How about getting a REAL JOB instead of making hard working people stop what they are doing by answering the phone for idiots like 'KEVIN TAYLOR'.  I will be nice when I answer the phone however I will go back to placing the 'KEVIN TAYLORS' on hold - because the longer they are on hold that is one less person they will be able to contact.  And please remember 'KEVIN' you ALWAYS have to get through "THE GATE KEEPER" before you can get to my boss because "I HOLD THE KEY!!!"
