- Nipun1/26/11 - I received two calls on my Cell. The person indicated that message was for …… (name given was my son. He never gives my cell number to his credit card company so I was suspicious) and the person indicated that three airline tickets were charged to my credit card and I need to call them immediately. He gave me a reference number and emphasize that there were four tickets charged (obviously, he never keep track of how many tickets were charged). I called the number from my home phone and the message indicated that they are busy and I am supposed to leave name and telephone number. Please DO NOT call the number nor give any other information including their reference number.

- MorganGot two voicemails from 203-441-8454. FRAUD. Man spoke with Indian accent and claimed to be from the Kayak Fraud Prevention Department. He said that he needed to confirm some information about my method of payment and asked for me to call him back on the same line and to have a certain case number ready when I called, which he read off to me in both voicemails. He called around 10pm both times, which set me off right away. The first few times i called back, the line was busy. After he tried again a few days later, I called back again, but i got the voiceail and the machine said that the voicemailbox was full. I have received no emails indicating that anything is wrong with my flight or that anything needs to be confirmed, so it seems clear to me that this is a SCAM. Priceline, Spirit, and Kayak--stop making info available to these people!!! Won't be booking with any of these sites again.

203 741 8454 - Kristine| 1 replyI just got two calls from the above mentioned number as well... except they called me at 3:02 AM...yep..3:00 AM !!! I knew something wss wrong because he was a man with very bad & llittle english. He went on to say he was from Priceline Fraud Prevention. I simply told him Ive never used Priceline & do you have a clue What Time It Is in the United States???? He hung up.... You would think if there gonna try n scam they would at least know what time it is here in the good ol' US of A... just sayin.. lol ;)
- Caller: I don't know
- Lisa replies to KristineI had the same the same thing happen to me last night.at 3:00 am. Same Indian accent I just hung up. Well today while checking my online accounts there it was 2 charges on my credit card one for Priceline and another for Starbucks, I called my Bank Card right away and had my account closed. I will be keeping an eye on other accounts as well for they are still calling my house. If you have credit cards that you don't use often keep a close eye on them, it seems those are the ones they seem to be targeting. I called my credit card companies and gave them all the heads up. Really considering Life lock after this one. Its pretty scary. :(
- AnonymousThe same man called this morning. Said he was calling from Priceline Fraud Prevention and his name was Sagar. He said someone purchased 2 tickets from Paris for a Turkish Airline. I didn't call him back. I instead called my credit card company and they confirmed the fraudulent purchase but they don't have a Sagar from CT working for them. DO NOT call this man back. He is trying to get your personal information. Instead call your credit card directly.
- OttawaGirlCalled at 2:30 am. Left a message about a hotel room that I had booked. Then got an email from Santosh saying that I needed to contact them within 15 hours.

- N. HollisI received a voice mail at 7:16 PM. A representative having an Indian accent gave a 10 number reference number saying airline tickets had been purchased with my credit card and they were calling to verify that it had been me using my card and not fraud. Before calling back, I checked the net, using my phone, for the number but I wasn't able to access the comments so the fraud warnings didn't get to me. When I called back they wanted my phone number, the reference number, and my name. I was told that the reference number was too short that it should have 11 numbers, so would I give them my credit card number to verify that it had been my card. I didn't give my card number but by then it was too late to have keep my other information from them.

- EmilyReceived phone call from a heavily accented man saying that he was from Priceline Fraud department and I needed to call them back immediately to confirm my recent purchases. He gave some sort of reference number but was hardly understandable and repeated himself multiple times (as if he had lost his place in his script). I called Priceline directly and they stated that my tickets were confirmed and they had no phone call on file from them. This is a SCAM and they are fishing for information about you -- scary that they knew I'd purchased tickets and my take off and destination airports! Also calling my credit card company to keep an eye on my account!

- TTVI didn't understand where he was calling from. He was looking for my daughter and told me something about booking Hotel from Priceline. He read me the last 4 digit of the credit card that was used. He want me to confirm the card expiration number which I didn't not give him. He read me my address and also wan to confirm if it was correct. I asked him to hold then ask him to give me his number after I can find my wallet to get the card to confirm the expiration number with him. He gave me 2 numbers. 845 441 8454 and 845 441 8455.
After hung up, I checked my credit card online. Indeed there is a pending charge over $700 from PCL*PRICELINE HOTELS. Immediately, I notified my credit card issuer to cancel the card.
I'm wondering why if he already succeeded with the charge, why ask me to confirm other information which alert me to lookup.- Caller: Yogssh
- MJGot a call from this number 203 441 8454. Didn't give any info as it did seem fishy. I called priceline at 877 477 5807 to verify the call. It was verified by notes in their system that I hung up on the fraud prevention department. Yes the call center is in India or maybe the filipines but it was a legit caller. Verified priceline fraud prevention.

- AlexThe same thing happened to me yesterday as replied below.
A very heavy accent Indian guy called me at 6 am telling me my flight ticket didn't go through. So he needed my credit card information to verify with my bank. If I don't provide information he needs, Priceline will cancel my flight.
The accent of this guy was too heavy to understand. I never talked with any customer service rep like this.
Please note:
1. He has your flight confirmation number
2. He has your ticket number
3. He knows your cell phone number
4. He knows your name
5. He knows your LAST 4 DIGITS OF CREDIT CARD NUMBER.
But DO NOT believe him!!!!!
When I say let me check with my credit card company, he hung up the phone.
And never call back.

- Concerned CallerSame thing happen to me as soon as i finished purchasing a priceline.com ticket. I work in I.T. security. I asked who he was calling from and he said Priceline verification center. He had:

My last 4 digits of card
and so he asked if I had made a purchase. I told him 'uh huh' he didnt say Yes because i recently found out about the other fraud going on recording peoples voices. he then let me go.
I am trying to call priceline and find out if i have to be worried or not.
I called my card company and locked down my card immediately.- Caller: Priceline Prevention FRAUD CALLER
- DI had booked a flight at 8pm in the evening on Priceline. After 1am I received a voicemail from a male with an accent asking me to call 203-441-8454 as he needed to verify that I had made the booking with Priceline. He stated the name of the passenger I booked for and also provided my booking number as the file reference number.
I called Priceline at their toll free number 1-877-477-5807 and asked that they confirm the call was from their fraud department and they confirmed it was. I then asked that they update my file to confirm the purchase as verified so that I would not need to make a long distance call to their fraud department.
It's not a scam caller; they are trying to prevent fraud if you haven't made a booking and trying to verify a booking so that they may complete a reservation. Just sucks that they call at terrible hours as they are probably contracted from overseas. Moreover, it sucks that they don't offer a toll-free number. Keep it simple and just call Priceline.- Caller: Priceline
- AlexI booked an airline ticket earlier today. just want to make sure this was a call from the company itself. so is this a valid number?

- mariI just got a call from this number too! Since the beginning it seemed weird, I couldn't understand clearly what he was saying, he had an indian accent and was asking for my credit card number and expiry date. I contacted my credit card company and they also got a call asking details about my credit card, the company immediately blocked my credit card.

- GinaThe call is legit. I told them I was not comfortable sharing my bank information and hung up. I then called Priceline customer service using the number on their website. When I spoke to a representative she verified that it was in fact, Priceline fraud prevention that called.

- NJWReceived a call on my cell from this number a little after 2 AM, same story about Priceline. I immediately got off the phone with them and called my credit card company (Chase) who confirmed that there had been an attempt at fraudulent charges and had me destroy the card. Sounds like it may just be a matter of this Priceline department not adhering to US social customs. In any case, yes the credit card company is always the best route as they can block from other potential merchants as well. Hope nobody lost any money over this!
