calling looking for a residential home, we are a business, they asked for a name that was several owners ago

This is a call from Choice Energy. They want you to switch to their service over CL&P

Got it today. I don't whom they want to talk to. I just say it is a wrong number.

They are Choice Energy. Address is 715 East 2nd, Des Moines, IA, 50322. I asked to be taken off their call list and the rep did that while I was on the phone (or so he said).

Got this several times during night hours. No messages.

There is no rebate to be had and these calls are not legitimate.  Search for another phone number 860-218-9179 which is one of countless phony numbers used by these con artists.

These are not legitimate calls from a real company.  The calls originate from "boiler rooms" that specialize in conning people out of their hard earned money.

Don't fall for it, don't answer, file a complaint with the State Attorney General's office and DPUC (or whatever it is now called).

The calls will not stop, they will simply change the number that appears on your caller ID and pretend to be from a charity, or tell you that you've won a trip, or that they will renew the warranty on your car.

Can you say scam?

I have asked this company to stop calling my house as far back as November/December 2011. Yet they keep calling at least once a week. I have had it. I told the woman that today was the wrong day to piss me off. I told her that I was filing a federal complaint against the company and that if they called again, I would escalate the issue and consider it harassment and unwanted communication. Not even 30 seconds after I hung up, she called back again and started yelling at me. No, I don't think so. I filed the federal complaint today, and if they call back again, I have no problem getting the state police involved for a more immediate resolution.

It's Choice Energy. Telemarket. The want to sell you cheap electric service. they are pretty rude about it when you say no. I sign up to buy electric from an enviromentaly friendly company. Choice Energy sell coal fired power. The dirtyist on the market. They were pretty rude about it
