I have been getting calls from what the call display identified as "Winnipeg Health",usually when I am at work.Today, they called again, and I picked up.The caller asked if I remembered her calling doing a survey about anyone in my family suffering allergies. Anyway, today she told me I was a lucky winner of my choice of a time share vacation,or a Slap Chop kitchen gadget. I chose the latter, and was asked for an address to drop it off at.I foolishly gave her my home address.I asked if there were any strings attached to the "gift",and she replied I only had to listen to a spiel about their air purifying machines. Upon hearing that,I said I wasn't interested any more, and hung up. I am on the "do not call" registry, and am surprised to have received a call from a company that has a  listed phone number. I suppose they aren't technically breaking the rules,as the "survey" I earlier answered was allowed under the "do not call" legislation, but I still find it quite deceptive behaviour.

This "company" apparently called "Winnipeg Health Systems" and they are selling $4000 Filter Queen vacuums and air purifiers.  I too, was scammed by the "survey" about allergens and air quality issues which seemed legitimate.  When they later call back congratulating about winning the "free gift", it entails an hour or longer presentation and demo of the equipment in your home. Furthermore, the free travel 'gift" is from "Trip Incentives" and if you check on the internet, they are some sort of a scam. You have to provide the Trip Incentives company with $50 and credit card information in order to attempt to even book accommodation.   NO THANKS!

I had the same thing happen to me.  They called and asked if I remembered doing the survey, which I did remember.  They said my name had been put in a draw for a $500 gift certificate that could be used at any store in the city and that I had also won another prize, which I had a choice of two.  I chose the chopper, but after making the appointment for the same evening, I called them back and cancelled the appointment.  They said that they do all their advertisement by word of mouth and that it wasn't a demonstration of the equipment, he would only be telling me about it and seeing if I had any questions.  They wouldn't give me a time line as to how long this process would take.  After thinking about it for awhile, I thought that it wasn't worth my time and they would probably be asking me to provide other people's names and phone numbers and I wasn't prepared to do that to my friends.  When I told him that I wanted to cancel the appointment, he kept pressuring me for a reason.  I just finally told him that I wasn't interested anymore and I hung up.

OH People, let me tell you, I just had a terrible expirience with this company too! Do never ever let them come to your house at all!! I made that mistake, and it takes at least 2 hours for that demonstration, AND, that is not mentioned in the phonecall you get, whats so ever...anyway, and when theyr done, they start pressuring you into buying that very expensive vacuum, and the guy that was at my place, just kept calling his boss trying to get us to buy that [***], and after about 7 calls back and fort, and us telling him repeatetly that we DID NOT, want to buy it, I finanlly lost it, told that stupid boss over the phone to stop, and ask the guy to leave my house...but oh my guidness, this is the worst expirience I ever had with survey ppl. If they only call, at least you can hang up, but this was just something else...Im now trying to file a complaint about them on BBB, sans the guy bragged about the company having an A+ there, but have not been able to even find them there..any ideas?

I just received a call from them today. I was caught off guard and they said I could either choose the trip or the chopper. I chose the trip. When they said they were in Winnipeg I though it was legit. I made the appointment. Then I did research and found this. We are moving anyway. So I called back & said I wanted to cancel because we are moving and cannot take a trip and do not need a chopper.

I also was called by them--It's such a scam....after they called me, I called them back, and the guy on the phone said I had the wrong number, so I waited for 1 minute, called them back, and the EXACT same guy answered saying, "Winnipeg Health"--I told him to cancel my "appointment", and he says, jokingly, "I could lose my job, if you don't allow us to come"--that's when I lost it, and said NO THANK YOU, to their STUPID FREE GIFT!!!...Thank goodness, I NEVER let them into my home!!!!!!!  I am so thinking of calling the Police about this stupid company!!!!!  DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND HANG UP WHEN THEY CALL YOU!!!!!!!!!

    Gary C, Winnipeg.
I just received a call from this number, saying that I had completed a survey earlier in the week. She claimed it was a survey about asthma but I could not recall the details. I was offered the choic of two prizes as a follow up to completing the survey. One was a trip for two, and the other prize was a slap chop. I chose the slap chop, then was asked for my address. Alerted by the request for personal information, I asked what knd of company this was. She said a commercial nteres in Winnipeg, but gave no details. I told her I was not interested, then hang up. It was really a ploy to get into my home with a salesman.

Yeah, just went through this, a two hour presentation, calls to "Trevor" on the line and a [***] pamphlet for my time.  I'll never get that time back and told him twenty minutes in he was wasting his time.  Don't do it.

I received the  asthma call a couple of weeks ago so when they called today I listened to the females spiel and chose the trip.  And appointment was made for later in the afternoon.
Thought the whole thing was a little suspicious so did some checking online and found the bad news that. The Health aspect was only a scam to get them in your house to purchase a vacuum at an outrages price.
The company is called Winnipeg Health Systems and they are located on Myrtle Street in Winnipeg''s west end.
They are a telemarketing company and have no relationship with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
My suggestion Be aware of wolves in sheep's soothing.

Thanks for all of the above advice. I also did the survey, although some of the questions seemed a little strange. Today, a lady phoned and told me my name was in the draw for the $500 and I had won a prize. I wondered about the prizes - there seems to be a huge difference in value between the accomodation voucher and the slap chop. Anyway, I wondered as she was talking, after I foolishly gave out my home address, but this seemed to be the same set-up as the selling you a vacuum cleaner scam I ran into in the mid-1980s. Needless to say, all of the appointment times she offered me, I was unavailable for. Too bad these poor people can't find themselves better jobs. The call display is also deceiving, as the only part that comes up is "Winnipeg Health", so I thought the call was from the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, although heaven knows why they would be calling me.

Got a call while back, they asked a few questions, hung up and thought, crap, robbers.  They asked about whether or not I recycled, do we have any pets, kinda thing.  [***], I got fooled.  I wasn't honest with the questions anyways, kinda thought something was fishy.  Got a call back today, telling me I won their daily prize of either a trip or the slap chop, but I have to listen to a spiel.  Ok, fine I can deal with that, oh but what times would my hubby and I both be available to listen to this crap.  Slight problem for her, my hubby won't put up with this crap, second is that my hubby and I work different shifts (him mon-fri day shifts, me evening and weekends), not much time left for a stuff like this.  Apparently we both have to listen to this spiel.  Won't happen.  There is apparently a chance of winning a $500 gc for a store of my choice available only on the 17th of March.

The survey is now about anyone who smokes in your house.  The next day I declined the offer of their free trip or slap chop.  This forum has now confirmed that it is a scam.

Same telephone pitch as everyone else.   A total scam.  Waste of our time. We are also on a "do not call" registry which these folks seem to ignore.

If you think these people are scamming Joe Public, you would not believe how they scam and cheat their own employees. My son worked for them for about six weeks, 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day for $3000 and had to fight just to get what was owed him. They are nothing but liars, cheats and con artists. If you get a phone call from them, hang up. Don't blame the salesperson because they are being conned more than you are.
