I get a call from this number nearly every day , from hours of in the morning till even 9 at night , I've never answered it , nor my father. I thought it was a business calling because it was too frequent to be a wrong number and I did not recognize it. I still have no idea who it is and still a little afraid to answer it.

204-944-0855 is CBV Collections. Likely you have an outstanding Fine or Speeding ticket with City of Winnipeg. That would be the reason you are being called

They keep phoning and hanging up

They called me saying they were manitoba justice. And said i owed them money for fines from 10 years ago. Then after getting my personal info they admitted they were just a collection agency.

I am getting a call from this numer multiple times a day and they never leave a message, and I refuse to answer calls from unknown callers.

I had a ticket which I made payments on and I accidently shorted them. I got a notice and sent the payment via cheque. The cheque got there aftet they had already sent it to collections. This place called me on a Saturday and asked for personal infornation that I wasn't prepared to provide until they could identify themselves.  They said that was ok, they wouldnt waste my time. They then proceeded to call that same day 8 more times, they called Sunday and even on Thanksgiving.  I called Monday assuming this was what it was for and they confirmed what happened. I pay my bills / depts so I went down immediately to pay and get it sorted. AFTER I paid, they continued calling!! They called 14 times in a spand of 5 hours!! This is a little excessive, and when I explained that I was not going to give them my personal information again they got rude and hung up on me.

From Nov 5th to today Nov 17th 9 working days 61 phone calls..Is this not Harassment?

My husband has been getting calls from this number recently. They had asked for his info but wouldn't identify themselves. He told them he's not giving them his info if they won't tell who they were and what they wanted...then hung up them. Still getting calls and when he answers they hang up. Really annoying!

Hm, just got a call from these guys but didn't get a chance to answer.  We had a speeding ticket in Winnipeg a couple years ago.  I wonder if someone in Winnipeg that works for their city police or Motor Vehicles Department is leaking information and selling it to scammers?

Scam call who is this, they can barely speak English

Actually, CBV Collections has numerous numbers they use. They have multiple numbers in each city. And they call from various cities throughout Canada. I've blocked dozens of their numbers - a few in Winnipeg, some in Ontario, and a handful in B.C. - and they keep calling with a new/different number.

this phone number calls between 7am and 9:30pm. Almost every day. They are looking for a person with the same last name. who does NOT live at this address. How do we stop them from harassing us?

This number calls all the time. Every single day. From 7am till 9pm. It's annoying. I call the number back and all I get is a busy signal. Every single time.

I keep getting calls from them non stop they dont leave a message and when i answer theres nobody on the other end of the call  im still a teenager and have never been to winnepeg so it doesnt involve me yet i get called like 5 times a day and i even blocked the number.

They call at innapropriate  times even on the weekend. I believe they are breaking laws.

Have called a phone at our office 18 times.  Never leaves message.

I keep getting calls from this number also, from 9 am to well in the evening. This is the 3rd number change since and I expect them to be the same people. I blocked the number they where calling with that is posted as their fax number on the cbv website but they clearly aren’t a real government supervised agency. They where incredibly rude and forceful, ask for my personal info(which happened to most people) to a point where it seems incredibly fishy. And a few times they left me voicemails that sounded like pocket dials.

This number calls several times a day from 7am to 10pm, claims that they're a collection agency, which is shifty because collection agencies cannot call before 8am and after 8pm (laws) and there's usually a letter in the mail before the phone calls.  I told the person on the phone that he's violating my rights by calling everyday before 730am, he told me it was 7am from where he was calling, which isn't true, Alberta time zones aren't 42 minutes ahead of Manitoba....anyways I caught this guy in several lies while on the phone and he refused to give me his name, birthday and address so I wouldn't share mine....careful it's a pretty good SCAM -don't fall for it.
