No reply when I said hello

It took a while for the person to respond on the other line (clearly it was robo calling and when a live person connects, they find someone to actually pick up the call).  They claimed I won a $50 gift card and then asked for my email address.  At that point, I just hung up.  The number was US, but the call was from a call center in the Philippines.

Clearly robo calling since there was no one on the line when I first picked up. I let her read some of their lines to learn they were (supposedly) from wakanetwork.com (I made her spell it).. Offering me a $50 gift card and "membership." I told her to delete my number and remove me from their list. She was very resistant even after I told her I was on the do not call registry.

re eived a call and no one was there.  i called back and hear piano music

Called me here at work, there was a delay between my saying hello and a response. This is a company called Waka that is supposed to be like a free Groupon for businesses to run specials. Suposedly free unless you want to upgrade. She wanted an email address to send a startup package. www.wakanetwork.com  is their site. Clearly an overseas call center because she did not know that Ln. is the abbreviation for Lane and Ky is the abbreviation for Kentucky.

call came in at 6:30 am no one was on the line

finally answered the call after the # kept showing up numerous times....the man on the other end said I had entered a sweepstakes w/WAL-MART online and he needed to verify my e-mail address...he asked me for it and I told him that if I had entered online that he would have my e-mail address and I would NOT give it to him.  He said "ok, have a nice day" and I hung up.  I DO still receive calls from this #.....

I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone. I refuse the calls but they are a nuisance. I tried calling them on my home phone but there is no answer. I tried to find out who they are but can't. If someone out there knows who this is please let me know so that I can file a complaint with my state AG.

I received calls 4 nights in a row from someone saying they were from the Waka Network, were sending me $10 and a $100 gift certificate for Walmart which I could use during the next 2 weeks.  After that, I was to be charged a membership fee.  It was from Unknown Name, Unknown Number.
They said I had answered one of their surveys and that was their method of payment.  Kate

well guys can i ask something? did anyone here tried to pay the $2.98  i'm just curious if it was really a scam or they were really sincere about the $100 gift card and the $10 wal-mart card
