Called said I owed a debt from 21 Yrs ago

They wanted to talk to my wife said it was a legal matter. This is a fraud

They keep calling me, whenever I called back nobody answers or when they answer they hang out on me! Wtf?

Were you available to talk with an operator? They keep calling me and whenever I try to ask a question they hang out!

they've been calling from a different number for weeks.  i finally had not heard from them for a couple of days.  then got another call today.  trying to scam, saying we had a bounced check from 18 years ago... people have been getting calls from them for a long time.

Called for weeks now keep saying I have checks out from June of 2000..  Filed a police report...  SCAM

Scary thing is they have my SSN...  Guy repeated it over the phone before even verifying it was me...

This is a debt collector. Claimed that I had a returned check from over 20 years ago.  Asked to provide documentation, but was advised they were not required to.

I got one today same thing saying go online and pay it or they will garnish wages. Statue of limitations is 2 yrs.  It is a scam.

Talked to them today at length and they said it was about a returned check from June 2001 for $52.02 but now I owe fees so they are willing to settle for $137.  Sd they "bought" the returned check from a local grocery store.  Gave me their address as 6991 East Camel Road; Scottsdale, AZ  and a return phone # as 866-218-3402.  Said the address on the check was no longer current and the post office had not forwarding address was the reason it took so long to contact me.

When I get these calls I put their number on my call reject list on my phone.  This works for me.  I have listened  to their messages left by them and most of the time I can not understand them, except for a word or two.  Suggest not answering calls you do not know who they are.  If they leave a msg. listen to it, then decide to put them on reject call list

Never leaves a message.   If they are too lazy to leave message I am too lazy to answer or return call. Call block time.

I'll be contacting my cousin who is with their local Sherriff's department the next time they try to call me. For one thing, for con artists they aren't even that professional...they sound like aggressive meth head bumpkins. And what's REALLY stupid is that they use a landline which is easily traceable.

I'm being harassed by this number and also 205-419-2950.  They have been calling me 2 times a day for months!  And I NEVER answer so why do they persist?  Finally found an app to block calls but then these creeps start calling from another number.  I have reported them to donotcall.gov several times.  I included a link to this page just now so hopefully they can do something about these idiots.  Thanks for all the research ya'll have been doing.

Started to received calls from this number on 4/11/2016 twice a day but the caller did not leave a message. I called the number back on 4/14/2016 around 1pm but no answer and the phone kept ringing. The number called be back around 6pm the same day and it was a lady. I ask the lady how did you get my number and why are you calling me. She ask me is this Ms.(last name) I said who is this and how did you got my number. The lady said I had a court date coming up which is a lie.  The lady than ask me is this (said first and last name) and read an address however the address was was wrong. I told her she has the wrong address and how did you get my number. The lady could not tell me how she got my number and became mad and hanged up the phone on me because I was asking her question that she could not answer and she actually said  she should be the one asking all the question (no sir I going to ask my question). After the lady hanged up the phone on me,  I called the number right back and this time a man answered the phone and I was very heated and pissed off by this time. The man started to read something to me saying this conversation my be record etc. I said how did you get my number and he said something about a bad check that was written to Citi Bank. I told the man I do not bank with Citi and I do not write checks. He then ask is this ( first name, middle initial, and last name) and I told him he had the wrong person and to stop calling my phone because by this time I was about to cuss this man out. The man said he would take be off some kind of calling list.

I have been receiving calls and automated messages "... press 1 to revolve this legal matter"  from this number for the past week. I finally answered (just now, on April 15),  pressed 1 and asked a live agent what it was about. She checked my number and asked if I were "Mr ....". It was not me. She promised me to remove my number from their call.   --  Feels fishy.
