Received a call from this number.  A recording went on about life insurance but I hung up before it finished.  Thing is, I received this call on my personal cell phone which I only divulge to a select few.  Not sure how they got it but there's nothing more annoying than receiving this type of call on my personal line.  Does anyone know how to block these types of calls?

If you have Verizon you can sign into My Verizon and block up to 5 numbers for 90 days - if you want to continue the block youi just re-up. I only just learned this because I got the same call about an hour ago and no one except my friends & close family has my cell number either - or so I thought..

I have Verizon; I signed into "My Verizon", and found that call blocking is only available for certain phones (or plans, or something like that). With my really cheap Verizon phone using a pre-paid card, about my only option is to block ALL calls from people not on my contacts list. GRRRR!!!

I received a call from this number on my personal cell phone too, which I also do not give out to many people at all.  I did not answer so I'm not sure if it was about life insurance or not.   Interestingly, I did have to make calls (NOT from my cell phone) to a life insurance company last week for my parents.  I can't imagine how they could possibly get my cell phone number though.

I got this call as well. I have been getting several lately. It all started when I participated in the "text" a code to this number promotion to win a Galaxy Tab from Taco Bell. They were supposedly giving away 1 per hour and you got hte code off a cup. Just out of curiosity, did anyone else who got this call participate in that? I never got these calls before I did did that.

If that is the case I small a class action suit.

Sign up for Google Voice. It allows permanent blocking of numbers along with numerous other advatages.

I just got a call from this number at 11:27am Hawaii time. They didn't leave a message, and I didn't pick up. To the poster above me, I never participate in any sort of "text this code" contest or give my number out to anyone other than family and friends. I have no clue how they got my number, but it's getting pretty irritating that I am getting calls like this on my cell phone.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone which I do not give out.  I'm glad I did not answer and certify that my number is "good."   Which they can then resell.
