- T| 1 replyI received a call from this number its automated stating that the IRS is issuing a lawsuit against me, lol thats some funny stuff, clever but funny. IRS is not going to call to let you know of an impending lawsuit.
- Caller: unkown
- XicaI also received a call from this number from an alleged IRS "agent" who said that his badge number is 6161. After arguing with him for around 10 minutes about the implausibility of my being sued due to a supposed audit of my tax returns from the past six years--he even claimed that there's a warrant out for my arrest--I asked what SSN he had on file for me. This "agent" hung up immediately.

- Wendy| 2 repliesI also received an automated voice mail message telling me that I was being sued by the IRS. I called the number back from a different phone and some middle eastern sounding guy said he was an officer. He asked me what phone number I received the message on. No way was I going to tell him that. I challenged the fact that the IRS was suing me. He said some things I couldn't understand and then when I repeated my questions to him again he said rather clearly this time, "Take your middle finger, put it in your [***] and shake it." I hung up. Unbelievable that people have the time to do this.
- XicaUPDATE: Now that I've done some additional online research, I would like to encourage others who receive calls from this number to do what I've done: report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission. You can do so by going to ftccomplaintassistant.gov. You might also want to consult the following page on the IRS's website: www.irs.gov.uac/Tax-Scams-Consumer-Alerts.
If you talk with the scammers at 206.201.2152, do NOT give them any personal information re: bank accounts, employers, or your Social Security number. I was told by the "agent" that my wages were about to be garnished, which was a clear attempt to pressure me into providing him with personal financial information. Although you can always argue with these scammers like I did, I actually recommend that you do not engage with them at all and instead report the date, time, and relevant details to the FTC and/or IRS.- Caller: "unknown number"

- AndreIRS Pending Lawsuit Robocall Scam. Received a call on 7/8/2015 from 1-206-201-2152 with computerized female voice saying, "The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 206-201-2152. I repeat 206-201-2152. Thank you". Decided to report this as a possible SCAM as I have heard warnings about such IRS Lawsuit phone scams on the NBC and CBS news.

- annI just received a call from this number and also 206-239-0313 telling me I owed back taxes and if I did not pay now, I would be arrested and spend 5 years in jail for tax fraud. I have spoken to an attorney and a tax consultant and this is not how the IRS operates. This is a scam, but it does scare the daylights out of you.

- MCMGot a message from this number that was cut off at the beginning but said something about a lawsuit filed against me by the IRS. Called back & got a woman with an Indian accent that was hard to understand. When she asked I gave her my first name, but then got suspicious & asked if I could call back. She said no, the call was being monitored & please hold on. I figured the IRS will still be there after I check the unopened letter I have from them (which is why I panicked & called in the first place), and hung up.

- Meg7/08/15. Robo call stating a "last notice" that IRS has filed a tax lawsuit, call 2062012152 immediately.
Male responder at said number restated IRS had attempted delivery of tax lawsuit letter (spoke in very heavily accented English), received no response and lawsuit letter was now filed in courthouse. Identified himself as Alex Anderson, badge number IRM6264, wanted attorney information. When pressed for more detailed information, call was disconnected. Repeat call to said number went unanswered.
ALERT: male responder gave accurate name, address, phone number and spouse of Meg.- Caller: IRS
- anonDon't respond or hang up immediately ... scam!
- CPAI'm a practicing CPA. A friend got one of these calls today from this number. It is a scam. The IRS never initiates collections by phone -- letters are sent first followed by more letters and then certified letters if one doesn't respond. One can also report the scam to one's state's Attorney General. Never, under any circumstance, volunteer any personal information to these scammers.
