A recorded message saying the IRS has filled a claim against me and I need to contact them

They called claiming we have a law suit filed against us and to call them back. Not!

Unfortunately I did call back. Hopefully they didn't get more of my information that way????  Said they would mail me the information.  Said i either need to resolve the matter or go to court and not to hang up or i could be arrested:/ Never gave them any info, but they did know my husbands name too.

Called 2x today. Automated message re: IRS trying to get in touch with me about a lawsuit filed against me. Need to call back at this number. Same as what shows up on caller ID.

I got a call from 206 201 4266. Said his name was Kevin Brown with fraud department of IRS. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he hung up on me.

Received two calls over the past two days.  Did call back and someone answered IRS office, but then hung up.

Called me several time during the past week.
I do not call back.

Same comments as above - left a message that it is important that I call back about my case file.  The message was cut off, so I didn't hear that it was the IRS calling. I get some type of scam call every day and I block each number.

I have had tax debt, so have some experience.  First, the IRS will not call. They will send a form letter and provide a number where you can speak with someone. Second, most of the time when you do call the number provided, you will not get a live person. Third, I am not an attorney, don't think you can be arrested for tax debt. Scammers are using the IRS to instill fear. Please do not fall prey to these scumbags.

I messed with this guy cause he's obviously a scammer. I told him I wanted his name to check with the IRS to see if he is an employee. Then I asked him for specific details of my "case". He went ballistic, yelling, "Well, since you are a tax evader....You are F*&ked"!!!  I told him, "No, YOU are the one who is F*&ked".  He got louder, repeating over and over again, "Don't F*%K with me".  I told him he better change his phone number because I'd be reporting this number to the FCC.  Scumbag.
