This is attached to the comments about the number 832-615-1294.  This guy changed the number but left the other info the same.  Which is how I found out it was a scam.  Here is a copy of what I was sent in response to my add in craigslist for a house for rent.

Here is a copy of my email from what sounds like the same guy ("Adams Thomas" <thoada102@gmail.com>) but with a different name.  My guess is you will receive a check for more that the required rent/deposit by certified check and will be asked to send the balance back by certified funds only later to find out his origional check was bogus.  As craigslist advises always deal face to face. Do not let some fantastic offer get in the way of your common sense.

I also received one of these emails in reference to a house I have posted for rent on Craig's List.  I'm positive it is a scam.  Don't accept any certified checks from anyone outside of the US.  It is a scam.

Yep, same idiot tried to scam me as well. What a jerk! You would think that he would look himself up on the internet and see that his email is pasted all over every scam site, and use a different one, instead of sending the same email over and over. I had a house in Wichita, KS on Craig's List and got the same type of letter and looks as if it is a scam.  It was from Adrea Jolly and reads as follows:

I got an email saying he was in need of a nanny....it was too good to be true. I almost paid a lease and everything...Ugh!! what in effing jerk! i hope he breaks his toe!!!!!!!!!

Interestingly enough, the scammer didn't call me, but sent me the same mail as above.  There was no name on the email, just the reference to the Black & Veatch CFO. (Karen Daniel, who is a real person, and is probably really annoyed with the whole thing, is listed on the Black and Veatch web site) The mail was sent from ferryfera019@gmail.com. Maybe he (she) just likes to collect rental applications and leases?  Hopefully no one allows him to directly access their account information. The email I received is below:

We are so glad for this site!  We found the whole thing strange..and of coarse researched it on the internet, thank GOD! We actually received a check in the amount of $7610 (how they got my name & work address??) from Thorpe Commercial Group to furnish the apt. advertised on the craigslist.  Then these idiots sent an email instructing us to deposit the check into our account then wire the money to...who knows...it's all over now!

I too received the same type of message all of you have received. He went by the name of "David Flores" basically the same verbage in his e-mail wanting the measurements of the rooms for furniture delivery, sending first mont's rent and deposit. (I suspected this was fraud from the beginning for several reasons...1) why would someone want to rent my apartment sight unseen 2) company he is claiming he will be working at is several hundred miles away from my apartment, 3) if he earns that kind of money he would want a much nicer place by far than mine, 4) companies always help executives who are moving find places through professional realators relocation services--he would not be doing this task himself.

This guy needs to be caught and jailed!!! What else is he doing. Please report this to the FBI.

Does Karen Daniel know anything about it. Her name is being used as a reference in these scams. It would be fun to have these "potential tenants" send the certified check along with the information of the person who is supposed to get the remaining $. I think it would constitute a fraud and would make it mandatory for a governmental agency to follow the trails.
