I got an email in response to a craigslist.

Did it look like this one?  This is the one that I just received.  I have a house for rent in California.

I am an Engineer by profession and I am currently working with Wessex Survey & Design Ltd UK. I will be coming to the state for the next one year and during my stay, I will be working with Black & Veatch Incorporation a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company specializing in infrastructure development in energy, water, telecommunications, management consulting, federal and environmental markets.

My sole  financier that is based in the States  will be handling the rent deposit payment on my behalf, I will instruct him to send you a Certified Check for this as soon as you give me the go ahead to make out payment to you. Due to the limited time that we have before our arrival, we are making arrangements with a furniture company to supply the home with furnitures,so we will need you to provide us with the the following:

# Measurements of the living room and bedroom.

# Picture viewing the living room and the bed room(s).

# As regards the lease agreement and application, I want you to send it to me for my review. I will eventually have it filled and signed on my arrival in your place as I am of the opinion that such documents are best filled and signed physically by appending signatory at best physical. We can start the lease by asap and I will be doing a one year lease. You can prepare the lease in my name.

I will look forward to your e-mail with the required information.

I got the same e-mail in response to craigslist add

I got an email in response to a Craig's list add about a PW50 motorcycle. Kinda wierd that I person from WA state wanted to buy a little motorcycle in Iowa. Through a couple emails I got a bad feeling about this and they put this same phone number in the email to contact them with my name and address so that he could send a certified check to pay for it. Then in the next email he asked what payment I would take. I ended contact with them after this.

This person has attempted this scam hundreds of times from what I see online.

I just got an email from this guy in response to my ad. This time his name is william schneider.   The # looked weird, so I typed it in google  and found he has been trying to scam people.

I just got the same response to my craigslist posting.  Something told me to google the number and this is what I ran into.

I got a Craiglsit reply from this person...it showed that phone # at the bottom of his e-mail to me.  The e-mail address he's using is isaacrob88@gmail.com.  I Googled this before I responded so luckily I didn't get a fake check from him.  I immediately told him I knew it was  ascam & do n ot contact me any further.  I attached his e-mail to me below:

Hello i really appreciate your response to my earlier mail.like i said i will like to buy this item so pls do withdraw the advert from Craigslist. I will also like you to know that i will be paying via check and  will also have my own mover to come to pick the item from your location .I will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check.

1.Your full name to be on the check

2.Home or work address

3.Your phone number.

**I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for moving i will have my mover come over for the pick up as soon as you have cashed the check**

N.B UPS does not deliver to a p.o.box address.
