this number just called me and dont know who it is??

Caller asked for me by name, refused to answer any questions and spoke in a harsh middle eastern accent. I attempted to call back, and file a complaint, and got a message stated the number is not in service. Clearly this company is not aware of the laws surrounding proper skip tracing/debt collection methods, as this tactic is illegal.

I got a call just now, I didn't answer. My daughter got a call similar to yours, but they told her there was a warrant for her arrest and she needed to give them money or she'd be arrested. Little did they know her mom is a cop and she's never been in trouble. I wonder how many fall for this?

Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Based on what has already been said about this number I assume it is a scam.

just got a call from this number saying the government was giving me a grant and how would I like to recievce it cash debt card or bank account.... no way scam!!!

called me too and failed to leave a message, the last time they called me they said they were an attornys office and I had to give them money for an un paid payday loan or I was going to jail also had a middle eastern accent that was horrible to understand. I hung up on them as I havent worked in 7 years hence I cant get a payday loan if I dont have a monthly income in my name!!!!!

I got the same speech from a guy with a heavy middle eastern accent.  I get a lot of these calls so I decided to mess with him.  He became so frustrated he started shouting at me in his native tongue!!!  I laughed so hard!!!  Called the number back and it was already disconnected.  Oh the wonder of magic jack and a foreigner trying to scam ignorant Americans.

Guy with bizarre accent who said he was from Arizona and tried to tell me he was from US Department of Claims.  Unfortunately he didn't know what time it was where I live (7:24AM) or Washington DC where he claimed to be.

Yea I just got a call about from this number as well.. but the fact of this matter is they was saying I get a $7,000.00 grant from the government.. I replied with a I hear you and they said something and just hung up on me...

The guy who called me from this number asked for a girl by name, I said you have the wrong number. He then said "I f*** you?" I said excuse me? And he repeated it again. Tried to call number but same deal - can't get through.

Got a call 12/19/12 at 6:00. Thickly accented (Indian or Middle-Eastern). Said he was Mark Smith from the U.S. Government Grants Department. Offered me a grant for good citizenship, taxes paid, and no bankruptcy in the past 5 years. He claimed that 206 was Washington DC Area code. He must not realize I live in MD, too close to know the real DC area code. He referred me to Govt grants website, and a Washington DC address, but could not provide me with a Govt issue email address where I could reach him.

I got a call from this number early in the morning (before coffee).  I was assertive and asked first:
Why doesn't the Government Agency show up on caller I.D.?
I added: When I receive calls from the Government it always has GOV on the I.D.
The lady said that I was to receive $7000 from the U.S. Government, my name was "chosen".
I told her that it seemed odd since I thought our government was broke.
I repeatedly asked if she was employed by the United States Government.  She constantly recanted saying that she "represented the Government.
I said fine, since you have so much information on me than go ahead and send me the check.
She said HA HA Funny and hung up.
I reported this to the FCC. This is a total scam, I'm on the national do not call list. These people are after information or something.  Let anyone in the future know that they have been reported to the FCC.

I got the same spiel.  When I asked her to send me a check, she hung up on me!!  To say the least I was totally shocked.  

Seriously I hope no on falls for this scam.

Just answered a call from the same number and a man with a middle eastern accent asked for me by name, I told him to take me off the company's call list and he then said using many foul words I was a disrespectful American scum and then called me several offensive names.

They called me and said I was to receive a $7000 government grant.

I told him I did not know how he got my number but to never call back and I hung up.

He called back immediately and began using profanity. I told him I was calling the police and hung up.

The police said they were helpless in these matters and that they get several calls a week like this.
Some people actually fall for their scam and give them information. The police recommended doing nothing unless they call back again. Then they would send out an officer to file a report. This is sad. We need the phone company to be able to block certain calls from our homes. Probably need to get our government officials involved to legislate action.

I got a call from this number and they said in a middle eastern accent that I have been selected to receive payment of a large amount of money because I had no criminal background and that I pay my bills on time. They asked me if I wanted it in cash or on a debit card and they named the common credit cards most commonly used. I could not understand the broken English very well but I was able to understand parts of it. The person mentioned something that the government was offering this type of payment and also mentioned something about college grants and student loans. While she was talking I just hung up the phone. Basically the same thing as the comment from JR.

I have had a couple of calls from this number maybe once a month I don't answer the phone they don't leave a message I call back and it says the number don't work I'm glad I looked the number up and seen these comments they will never get an answer from me but I don't answer mumbers I don't know anyway

The caller id for this number is for a Mohamm Chaudhry.  We should find this guy and kick him out of our country!!
