received unknown call on cell phone

called cell.  didn't answer. no message. therefore, not important.

Called landline phone. I didn't answer, I just hung upon them. These calls come in all the time and I don't know too many people outside the state so I can usually tell by looking at caller id. Not worth my time to answer the calls.

Message says they are a non-proft and exempt from do not call list. But can press 1 "and you will never be called again." We shall see.

press "1" is usually a bad move, as it indicates you are a live number.

In NJ: Robocall from "Love Our Pets Charity", to change our electric utility company to save 20% and a donation in our name to http://loveourpets.org/. Press 1 for info, 9 to be removed from the call list.  Uh?  Getting calls for the last 30 days, and nothing gets removed.

I'm on the gov "Donotcall" list for the last 5+ years and renewed, but still get calls.  Does that say anything to you? Think carefully.

Got a voicemail from 971 373-2961 claiming to make a donation to an animal charity and lower my utility bill by 20%.  I, too, am on the donotcall list but they call anyway.  How can they be stopped?   I opt out and still get calls.  Technology must be able to do something.

My messages goes to my email box if I don't answer, this is what was left my this number as transcribe by my voicemail:   "Hundred dollars and just for listening agent nation will be needing your name to help save past and present so see the animals. Please press one on your thing now for more information. Press nine to opt out heads every where. Thank you. Please press one now. Hello Amy calling you from my heart.org, the charity that helps they had, you have elected to receive a brand-new wireless and emergency system worth over $1200 and just listening agent nation will be needing your name to help save past and present for pizza animals. Please press one on your thing now for more information. Press nine to opt out heads every where. Thank you. Please press one now"
