i didnt answer phone but i know its a landline out of seattle washington

Just got a call from this number...they just held the phone and then hung up!!

Got a call from 206-397-5092 on July 17, 2010 at 10:17 am.  Dead air.  No response after several seconds.  Hung up.  Caller ID listed the number as above, with the name "800 Service".  I filed complaints with the FCC and the Federal Do Not Call Registry.  Call back to the number did not identify a company or name, but instead made vague references to 'preferred marketing services" and suggested that I press '1' to be removed.  I did, but past experience has taught me that this never works.

They called my home in Nor-Cal at 6:34pm on July 23rd.  When my husband answered the phone there was an incredible amount of very loud background noise, like music and yelling.  When he said hello, a woman started yelling into the phone that she was calling long distance from Florida, and her reason for calling was...at that point my husband interrupted her by saying, "Look, it is really loud, so I am hanging up now."  And he did.  No more calls since.

If their intent was to sell something, firstly, they should not lie about their location (260 is from Washington state), and secondly, they should not sound like they are calling from a domestic dispute in a rave.

Received calls from 206-397-5092 a couple of times, usually they hang up before I say anything.  Sounds like the same as other people have reported.  

This time I heard a lot of noise in the background as if someone was calling from a boiler room for telemarketing.  Called back and hit 1 to be taken off the list for "special promotions".  Will see what happens.

I have received at least 10 calls from this number in the last week and half. The first time I called them back and immediately got, "Thank you for returning our call. If you would like to be removed from our calling list, please press 1." I pressed 1, but now it seems like they can't stop calling me even more. Big mistake. I put them on my cell phone's "reject list" and it seems to get them even more hyped. Every time I get a voicemail from the number, it just sounds like they've got a busy office and then they hang up. Who ever it is that keeps calling needs to get a LIFE. It's a sad, sad thing to do to keep calling me repeatedly "hoping for an answer." over 10 times now! a$$holes!

How can we collectively get this to stop?  They're calling me insessantly on my cell phone!

I've been getting phone calls from this number about once every week or couple weeks - not a big deal, but still annoying. I haven't been able to answer these phone calls as I have been at work every time they called. Today, they called and I was available to answer. Like someone else has said, I heard a bunch of background noise like someone was in a metro or a big airport and it took me saying "hello" like 2-3 times for someone to answer. Then it was a female voice saying something like this, "Hello, I am making a long distance call from Florida and you have been selected for a free vacation..." Then I just hang up. Hopefully they will get the picture. I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. I can't tell if they care calling to my cell phone provider's number, or if they are calling me through my Google Voice number. The reason I said that is because I have read somewhere else where someone from this number is calling their Google Voice number. I just started getting these calls right after I set up my Google Voice account. Do any of you have Google Voice accounts? If it keeps up, I will put the number on my cell phone provider's reject list and on my Google Voice reject list.

Well, I too am getting phone calls from 206 397 5092.  It's been going on now about 2 months.  I answer; no response, and I hang up.  Guess it's something I have to do owning a phone.  Am sure it's some sort of marketing business, etc., and if not it's a person with no live and way too much time on their hands.

Got a call from this number on August 24. There was silence on the line for a few seconds. I was about to hang up when there was a beep in the phone and a recorded female voice said "Goodbye" I hung up as soon as i heard that. Pretty weird.

Phone #208 397 5092 just called me and I knew it was not legit so I did not answer.

I recently kept getting calls from another no. also.

I got fed up and I gave them some of their own music.  I picked up and did not say a word.  At first I would pick up and hang up, then I would just punch hang up without picking up the receiver.  Did this several times.  Seems to have stopped for now, but who knows.

They call repeatedly.  This time a man came on and said he was from the resort industry and that I had won something.  I asked to put me on his DNC list but he kept right on with his pitch.  He would not shut up.

They call me saying "You have been drawn to receive a discount 7 day vacation" They then make sure you are over 21, that is usually when I hang up. If the call didn't make it clear that its a scam, their people do. They are either extremely rude or sound like they are reading a script. I have told them to stop calling but they still do, I usually just ignore the call.

Just got a call from them on my (unpublished, Do Not Call registered, cell) phone which I did not answer (I don't answer calls I don't recognise - that's why I have voicemail) and - surprise! - they didn't leave a message.

This was Monday, August 30 at 1:50pm EDT.

id said seattle.  there was no one on teh other end, then they hung up.
