They call me

Received a call  and a message from 206-414-4997 and they stated they were the IRS. I do not think this is a legal call. When I called the number back it sounded like it was from a different country asnd they stated they were not available and to leave a message

They claim to be IRS. They claim to have an arrest warrant on me, and that my property is under investigation. I do not think it is real, as it follows the recent pattern of fake IRS calls. However, this time, the guy on the other hand knew my name. That.... is a bit scary.

However, IRS, warrant, and investigation, so please call back immediately? You know, when warrants are issued, there are no warnings. The police should be knockin on my door if that was the case, not idly calling me.

Just got the same scam.
IRS will first make contact via mail.
In addition they will not threaten, demand, etc.

They are trying too scared so you react.
Getting your first / last name is easy.
If you ever talk to them ask to disclose detailed info that they, your employer and spouse would have.
Be careful not to disclose any info accidentally.

What is there hook, scam?
Credit card info?
Open credit in your name?
Have you pay your "IRS" bill in Home Depot gift cards?
Any idea?

I got a call from a complete a hole that was trying to say I put false information on my taxes which is not true. I have never done that in my life. I filed my taxes properly this year. I only got 900 dollars for taxes this year. The guy was a jerk and when I asked him on it he wouldn't tell me about any of it

I got a call from the same guy. When I called back it went to voicemail and ask to leave a message. It was so ridiculous. He threatened to send me back to my native country if I didn't call him back. I'm a US citizen, lol. It's really crazy. This is a fake call. IRS always contact you via mail first. The whole thing is just crazy and concerning. Some people would actually get scared and give their information.

They asked for my husband by name. Person with and Indian accent. Called me honey twice. Very creepy

Got a call from this number. I asked who it was and he had a very thick accent and I couldnnt understand him very well. He stated he was from the IRS. He asked my phone number. I wouldnnt give it to him and he said that I would be arrested soon.   I am sure this is a scam. No one from a government com should talk to people like that!

I got the same call and he said there was a warrent on me as well and property under investigation. I drive truck for a living and got an inspection yesterday and they ran my license it's all a hoax. I would have been taken into custody on the spot if it were true

Just called this person at 206-414-4997 and told him I AM CALLING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT Agencies on him because of his ridiculous calls. He asked me not to call him anymore. Yeah, when you stop calling me - I'll stop calling you.

I received the same call multiple times yesterday. I've had my taxes done by H & R Block every year since I was 16. I always purchase the additional coverage on the off chance I EVER get audited because they will help & provide lawyer assistance. I've NEVER been audited until I got this "CALL" The caller was a man w/an accent saying he was from the IRS Criminal Investigations Department. He said his name Jeff Miller which by the accent didn't seem to MATCH but anyway he stated pretty much the same thing as everyone previously stated. My prior yrs tax returns were being audited & I owed the government 3,400 in back taxes & I was being charged with defrauding the Gov & was going to be arrested. I was blown away..... As he continued to talk things didn't sit well with me. The # they were calling me on is my WIFI app I use nor was the address he listed saying the authorities were picking me up @ I NEVER filed from that address NOR give out this # other then to AVOID giving out my REAL # like when I'm playing online games etc so I promptly called the IRS the wait time was an hr its NOWHERE near tax season so that was another RED FLAG maybe I wasn't the only one getting these calls. I called my Tax preparer & explained what was going on. They told me that they were sure it was a scam since they were questioning my 2008 taxes & never sent anything to that address & that its become a huge problem they have been getting a lot of calls regarding the same thing. I contacted them & told them I knew it was a scam & I'm contacting the FCC, IRS, filing a complain w/the treasury dept & my local police. I'm refuse to just sit on this because apparently this is a MULTI MILLION $$$$ scam so people are getting scared & scammed out of their $$$ that's NOT RIGHT for all we know they could be terrorists & they getting funding straight from the AMERICAN PEOPLE!!

I got the same call about IRS. I informed them that they were not IRS because IRS would contact by mail. They stated they would send the cops and then hung up. A few minutes later, someone called using the 911 number stating they were cops on their way to arrest me. Needless to say, that proved it was a scam.

IRS will not, under any circumstances phone you concerning your debt, nor will they inform you of an arrest warrant if one was issued. All the safety rules can be found on the IRS site.

They called me too. The way they treat you, not only intimidates you but, makes you to doubt our civil rights in the U.S society ....

Today I got the Same thing as everyone

have received numerous calls from this number but when I answer no one is there and they do not leave a message.

I just got 2 calls from these morons. Hope they get busted so they stop bothering people. By the way the IRS doesn't use Magic Jack!!!

I rec'd a call today, 10/03/2014, stating that he was an IRS Representative and that I mis-reported my tax between yr 2005 and 2013 and I owed $1287.94.  Also that I have an arrest warrant of me, my property (car, home, bank accounts, etc) will be seized by Homeland Security.  In order to stop the warrant, I needed to pay the amount within 45-mins of his call.  He wanted me to go to a Family Dollar, CVS, or Rite Aid and purchase 3 prepaid "Vanilla Reload Network" cards two (2) ea. for $500 and one (1) ea. for $287.94 for a total of $1,287.94.  I called the IRS and verified with them and I owe nothing.  It was a scam.  The scam did have me going for a moment but I stayed relaxed and handled my business. I called the number back, twice, first one went to voice mail and the second one hung up.

this guy called my grand mother today. he had her really scared. I called him from my cell phone four times and let him have it. I suspect this is a burner phone and that they will change the number in the next few days, which is a shame bc I'd love to harass them some more. I mean hey, I'm unemployed and the fact that these guys are targeting the elderly and scaring them infuriates me. until then the number is going on my Facebook and I'm hoping my friends will have some fun with the voice mail.
