David Cooper is the name he is giving today. He has a thick foreign accent (perhaps India or Pakistan). You can hear other people in the background making the same calls. He ends the first 2 messages with "God bless". By the third message, he is threatening to bring the local police. He has called me 9 times today in 4 hours. Do not call these people back it is fraud as per the Attorney General's Office

This is the 3rd time this year I have been contacted by this person, saying I owe $300.00 for a payday loan but with legal actions taken against me I now owe $3000.00$ but if I took action today I can settle the debt for $525.00$. In February I paid $250.00 to this company in two payments of $125.00$ through a Walmart card to pay off the $300.00$ debt. Of course they have no records of this. I know I was scammed now. He said that they were going to take my kids and seize my home (I don't have kids or a home) along with other legal action if I didn't pay today. I told him about the fair debt collection practice and said I know my rights and he told me I had no rights and that I will be sued and thrown in jail and then taken over seas. Please don't fall for this crap. I also said they needed to send me a valid debt collection letter stating what I owe he said he would with my "summons" paper.

I just received a call from this number but they didn't leave a message. I've been scammed before into paying a debt I didn't owe. What should I do if they continue to call me?

these people are so phony its unbelievable. they call me like 6 times a day leaving me messages about a pass debt that i owed to a payday loan service. some guy with an indian accent claims that i will go to jail if i don't pay what to a company i don't even know who it is. he talks for at least 5 minutes about legal matters, then when i question what he is talking about he stops, gets off the phone and then comes back on. then he says we can resolve this matter for 525.00, but you have to go walmart and get a moneyback card. totally suspect. my advice if you can help it never get a loan through a payday company online. your information will get circled around and eventually it will fall into the wrong hands.

This guy threatened to blow me up,@ 12 o'clock. (I Save all his messages, not nice) lol ....ok, so I am still here, and no bomb. Same line as everyone eles. I decided to call the brainless twit back.You Know like 30 times using 3 different numbers which I *67 . that stopped them for about 3 months. then today a call every hour for about 5 hours until I started "HARRASSING THEM BACK". Flat out told him his brains are showing,but that's ok because I will find you and you'll never see me coming, been 4 hours now no more calls... the freakin chicken ! ARRRRGH! go ahead you little Pu**) call the Cops... LMAO!  I figure I can use a good laugh.... lots of room on this wagon so Just call him back untill your finger hurts and don't say a word. lol so enjoy this little mans amusement, nothing more than a loser p.o.s. :>)

This number has been calling all week he has left 4 messages the first two his name was John Marshall the second two he was something Antonio but u can't even understand him for the most part don't answer total scam telling me I was a primary suspect what bull

Guy with foreign accent (india or some other) called and said that he was calling from the Department of Justice and that I was being investigated for fraud.  I googled this # and the information came up that this number was a fraud.  At this point I told him that I googled the number and that I believed he was a person trying to steal information which at that point he said yes, I was being investigated for Fraud.  I said, No you are a fraud and that I needed to contact the Attorney General's office for information on him.  He said ok, he would dispute this information.  Thank you.

I just received another message from this person who calls himself David Cooper.  I called him back after this last ignorant, rude message and told him not to call my phone again, he's a fraud and I was going to report him to the US Attorney General's office.  He just hung up.  Please don't pay this idiot any attention because it is a fraud call.  Don't they know that the Justice Department doesn't call people on the phone.  They need to be stopped!!

This is FRAUD!!!! Fortunately I am smart enough NOT to give ANY info about myself,especially to those who CANNOT speak CLEAR and UNDERSTANDABLE English. ANY debt collection or suits will be sent with a letter and you will be contacted by the proper people affiliated with the matter involved. They will not EVER ask for your FULL social security number or any other personal identifying information except for IDENTIFYING purposes only and usually its only part of the identifying info just enough to prove who you are if they need to talk to you. This man claims to be a David Cooper and the the particular phone number that he has recently been using (206)4206479, is traced to a SEATTLE area in WASHINGTON state USA. He clearly knows nothing about anyone and has nothing to do with any legal stuff or the USA Social Security Administration. Ignore everything about this man and just hang up and report the number of times hes called and where from if you have caller id to your local authorities. I have been collecting quite a bit of information from the person in hopes of catching him. Rest assured you will NOT be sent overseas to jail if you do not pay him. He does not have that kind of power, not even close.

This "Craig Wilson" has called me several times from this number and also 916-304-5183.  He has left messages threatening my husband.  He called me at 7:30am this morning and left another message.  He called again at 9:10am and this time I answered the phone.  I informed him as to who I was and he informed me about a so called lawsuit for a payday cash advance and that he was from the Dispute Resolution Center and calling on behave of Cash Advance America.  As in the other posts he has a thick foreign accent. I was asking questions as far as this so called lawsuit and he danced around my questions and not answering them.  I asked what country he was calling from and he refused to answer that.  I told him I wanted to speak to his manager and he hung up on me.  So I called again and told him that if he can continue to call me and leave the messages that he is leaving and call me at 7:30am then I have a right to either have my questions answered or speak to his manager.  He told me to quit calling him!  EXCUSE ME!  I asked for the paperwork or anything in the mail and he stated that he sent it 2 months ago.  I informed him I get the mail everyday.  I have received nothing.  My number has been blocked from me calling him back.  BEWARE!  DO NOT LISTEN TO HIS CRAP NOR SEND ANY MONEY!

Just got a phone call and their is a crimnal lawsuit against me their from Sloughhouse,California the phone number is 916-304-5183 should I be worried about this.I'm SCARED about this Idon't have enough money to file suit against them,and I don't who this is.

This is fruad! If you have any debt and if they are a real debt collection agency then they need to send you a written vallidation notice telling you how much money you owe. They can not just pick you up and put you in jail!

I just received a few calls today from this number and could not understand them due to heavy India / Arabic accent.  Told them I could not understand them and they hung up.  Later I received a message stating I was prime suspect in a financial fraud case; do not ignore the call and ended with a mean God Bless You!  Almost saying it as to threaten me.  I racked my brain to figure out why and who and for what!!!!!! I googled the number and found others in the same situation.  How can we get these people!????? This is NOT right!  I want them dealt with.

and  me for fraud   too  .. has  the same  talking people  as you guys explained it  i read your reply's  here

I've been getting a call from this guy/firm for about a year. I made the mistake of applying for a payday loan, which I never processed. I decided at the last minute that i did not want it. Well, since then this guy with a very heavy accent (Indian) called me the first time to tell me that it was a legal matter, and that I was going to be arrested if I did not take care of it. I was a little alarmed because I did not know where this came from. Anyway, he kept calling me back. The red flag went up when he told me if I wanted to take care of it and settle it I would have to pay him a certain amount of money. So I went into the internet and typed his phone number and got many reviews about this being a scam and him telling the people the same thing that he told me. A couple of weeks later I get a call from a different area code. Guess what? Right, the same guy with a different company. He proceeds to tell me about a legal matter, so I did not let him finish I said I know you're from such and such and I'm being sued and so on and so forth. He hung up and never called me back.
The idiot leaves a voice mail today on my phone, again with a different are code. I told him that he should go on line and type in his phone number to see what kind of feedback he's got with this number. I let him have it. I told him not to call me anymore with this b%% s*%$#!!!! that I was aware of this little scam game that he was playing. I previously wrote a letter to the Attorney General's Office regarding these calls that they make. I did not realize that by trying to do a payday loan I would be exposed to this nonsense.
